Not for truck diesels or marine, has been working fine on a 2004 F-150 and a 1985 Bronco II. Both under 110 amp alternators. Do not over tighten, that is what breaks them, my neighbor did that to the one I installed for him. Clamp it, test if it moves at all, then remove tighten a 1/8 turn if it was loose, then try again.If you frequently take it on and off, it will loosen up, so, always check to see if you can move the terminal.On the positive, I zip tie the handle shut, so it can not accidentally come loose and spark or have the loose handle hit the body. Also, this prevents someone from moving the (+) first (aka my neighbor) and forces them to remove the (-) first.If you have ever had a starter or starter relay stick on, you will be glad to be able to quickly disconnect the battery.
