Great product, perfect size for all activities. I washed it before embroidering and that is key. It changes size (for the better) but once washed once its done. Very durable.

It's good but a little too big !!

We have been having trouble with our towels smelling moldy because the ventilation in our bathroom isn’t the best. Having a plush towel is nice…but not when it stinks! These towels are perfect because they get the job done (get us dry) but also dry quickly themselves! They aren’t super soft and the price is a bit high but they dry fast, look great, and don’t stink which makes them our new favorite towels.

Sick and tired of drying my cotton bath, hand and wash cloths then need to clean my dryer link screen 3 times during the cycle. Clogged with lint. New smart dryers sends pop-ups saying “need to clean dryer screen” ! Wait - what, dryer only on for 10 mins. Then again & a third time. I’m surprised I have any towels left. Not talking cheep towels here believe me big $$$$$$ cotton towels. This is after 5 months of use. So I purchased 1 Gilden Tree waffle bath towel to see how lint free it is. Followed directions and washed the towel first with a little vinegar, baking soda and detergent- no fabric softener per instructions. First dry - very little lint on the screen. They do shrink a bit which is good. They are 62” long but shrank down to a normal bath towel 56”.Second wash - hardly any lint on screen and no shrinkage. And when folded they really are half the size of a cotton bath towel. Buying more.

I bought these towels for our motorhome. Regular towels were too bulky for our towel racks. Not only do they fit nice they are soft and absorbent. Will be replacing our home towels with these.

I wasn’t sure about this towel cause it was more expensive and I’m on a college student budget. But I have long and super thick hair and my old traditional towel would be totally wet and my hair would still be dripping everywhere. It takes 10 mins on high to blow dry my hair and it might still be damp and I hate how bad it is for my hair. This towel is every dream come true. Dry myself off, wrap my hair in it, and leave it for just a min while I pick clothes out and when I take the towel off my hair is only damp! I maybe spend a min blow drying to finish it up now. The towel isn’t as soft as my old towel, but I knew that would be the case and I don’t mind it at all. Takes up so much less space when storing it too. Excited to get a couple more for myself and boyfriend.

Alright, I rated this a 5 in absorbency, which it certainly is. Soaks everything up. I gave it a 3 on softness, but that's part of the charm of this towel. It is not snuggly-soft; it is more of a bracing, exfoliating drying experience. I love it. You may not. So if I were rating for "texture" or "skin feel" I would give it a 5, but that's because I like a bit rougher drying experience. I rated it a 3 in thickness, but that's a hard one to rate. This towel is thin. If you buy it, that's probably what you are looking for. It is not a thick, fluffy towel. That's exactly what I wanted, so is it a 1 or a 5 on the "thickness scale"? You judge. The only problem I have is the hem looks a bit wrinkly after a few washes. Other than that, this is a thin, fast drying, super-absorbent towel. Drying oneself with this towel is bracing rather than snuggly. Depending on your wants, this will be great or terrible.

We have purchased Gilden bath-sized towels, washcloths, and hand-sized towels TWICE because we loved the first set we tested out. Before finding the superiority of waffle weave towels, we had invested in a truly soft, luxe, plush set of terry cloth towels. THEY. NEVER. DRIED. We'd take a shower one morning and discover them damp-ish the next morning...gross. We live in an older apartment that does not have a bath vent fan, but despite leaving the bath door open almost always for circulation, terry cloth towels just never ever dried fully and would at times get that musty smell. So, we were constantly swapping out towels and creating extra loads of laundry. After some research on waffle weave towels, Gilden seemed to have the best combo of price and positive reviews so we got just a couple for experimentation. What a game changer! We find these to be just as absorbent as terry cloth but so, so much faster at drying. Like, mostly dry within a couple hours of last use, while hanging in bathroom. They therefore stay fresher for more reuses than our old towels. And they definitely dry very quickly in the dryer compared to regular towels. Best of all, goodbye musty towel smell. Some people day they aren't as soft as nice terry cloth and that is probably true. They don't have the "fluffy" cloud feel that some terry cloth does. But that fluffy feel is also what takes two days to dry out, so it's worth the trade for us. :)
