I haven't really had enough experience to rate this - I might come back after a few weeks - but I appreciated the customers who had trouble opening the battery compartment and wanted to comment on that piece. It is true, the instructions do not have any mention of where the battery is to be inserted and the mic itself didn't have any exterior markings showing battery placement. Basically, the battery pack is located on the opposite side of the mic controls (power, on/off/volume and echo). It runs the entire length of the handle underneath the cubed shape with the 4 speaker sides. You can see the seam if you hold the handle on its side.n To open it, I put the mic on a dishtowel (control side down) and used a plastic gripper (intended for opening tight jars) to push down and slide the compartment away from the speaker area - towards what would be the bottom of the microphone. It was opened in a few seconds, battery inserted and tested. So, don't give up - it might be a great tool once the battery is in!

The most fun thing I ever purchased from Amazon. Pure joy. Brought it out to a birthday celebration the other day and the results were phenomenal, both for the lady of honor and the guests. The people couldn't have been more complimentary. Forty plus people in a narrow but long room. Needed no space to set up. Just the mic. Couldn't be happier. Hardest thing about the setup was inserting the battery, but with determination it was accomplished. Beautiful sound, especially the reverb.

So i got mine today probably been charged 8 hrs now and the red light still on but not flashing at all even at first. Im trying to turn it on but its not on. Whats the problem guys?
