Great unit if you have NO other electronics on your bike.
A really sweet unit, EXCEPT - if you have any other electronics on your handlebars or stem (phone, flashing LED light, etc), it will create interference and cause this unit to operate erratically. This is what customer service told me today when I called to ask why the current speed was occasionally dropping to 0 while the "X" was continuing to flash. With further observation I noticed that the X was flashing really quickly when this happened, and not surprisingly, it over-estimated my distance by about 10%. The customer service guy said this interference problem was going to happen with any of their "analog" meters, as well as their digital ones. He said the only way around it was wired or GPS (which doesn't use a sensor). If the website had said "don't use if you have a mobile phone running Bluetooth on your handlebars (or a flashing LED light) I never would have purchased it. Returning it today.

I love the Cateye Urban(+)
My 1st unit I purchased from a bike shop was a Cateye Urban (no backlight). I liked the unit so I figured I'll ordered another one from Amazon ($20 cheaper) for my spare bike. Not realizing I ordered the Cateye Urban+ (with backlight) from Amazon, the backlight worked great, I liked the unit so much, I replaced and gave away the 1st Cateye Urban. I ordered 2 more Cateye Urban+ from Amazon (1 for my spare bike, the other for a friend). The setup and installation was super easy and quick (less than 6 mins). I highly recommend this unit!SN: Have some spare tie wires in case of installer error, like myself! I tighten both wires around the wheel spoke! Yes I'm embarrassed to say, but it did happen. Luckily I had a pack of tie wires that were small enough to work. Also, I purchased the Cateye bracket for in front of the handlebar. Love it!

Be careful !!!
Not easy to install. The sensor and the sensor reader should be 5mm close to each other. It was hard to find a perfect spot for the sensor. I had to tilt the sensor reader. And it came with only 2 self locking cable ties which means You can’t make Any mistakes. Otherwise good luck to find right color self locking cable ties That match your speedometer.Suggestion: please give us more cable ties.

I like a computer with a small size
I like a computer with a small size, but big numbers that are easy to read, and simple operation. A feature that puts this one above other units is the button on the face. Some computers are controlled just by pushing on the face, which makes for easy operation, but also makes for easy inadvertent resets. When I stop and take off my Camelbak, I set it on the bars, and it will depress the face of those other computers. This one is not subject to accidental resets. It's exactly what I need.

Excellent for cyclists not wanting to go overboard with information! :-)
I ordered this after someone flicked my CatEye Velo 9 wired computer (still mentally curse him now and then). I am still to understand what purpose it served him, as he only broke the computer from its mount and left the sensor and wires intact!Going wireless then seemed the logical option.Installation of the mount and the computer itself was a breeze, however meeting the magnet and sensor proximity of 5 mm or below does cause anxiety as one might assume that should the sensor shift it might come in the way of the spokes and cause damage. However, that remains to be seen. A test ride after installation did not seem to cause any shift in sensor position.Programming too was alright, it takes a while to get used to having the reset/menu buttons on the underside while having to select from the screen. All in all, its a good product for anyone looking out for all the basic information and be wireless at the same time!

small display, difficult to read with old eyes
Seems to be reasonably well made and easy to install. My problem is the small display- smaller than my old Bontrager Trip 100 which is 24 x 35mm. I didn't measure the Cateye display before I returned it but I compared it to the Bontrager Trip 100. It is approximately 22 x 32mm and the numbers are proportionally smaller.

Doesn’t work below 32 degrees
The manual says “does not function as well in the winter.” I have one of these on my hard tail and it works great. The one I bought for my fat bike does not work below 32 degrees. I’ve replaced batteries, checked placement. The bracket also was so brittle that I pressed on the button and it snapped off. It is hard to read with the light at night.

Excellent product!
This is what you need to track your tours. I depend on it for cruising speed, average trip speed, max speed, miles travelled on this tour. Nice to have the odometer also. The odometer is not reprogrammable. The new computer starts at 0 only. There are some more functions on this computer but these are the ones I pay attention too. Nice unit and a lot of bang for the buck. Easily attaches with the supplied mounting piece but I made one of my own for the Easy Racers Ti-Rush.
