sqeezes every last bit of juice out
Since a masticating juicer is nothing more than a motor that turns an auger, which squeezes juice out of your vegetables, the wordy details are unimportant, and the real measure of a juicer is simply...how dry is the pulp? My 8006 produces the driest pulp I've ever seen, giving you the most juice and nutrients. Though this juicer is refurbished, the attachments are brand new, and it's imperceptible that this is not a new product. I've been using mine every single day, rigorously, for nearly a year with no problems. As for the unimportant details, I haven't yet made pasta, nut butter, or ground coffee beans, but I have use the included attachments to make fantastic sorbet out of frozen blueberries. The 8006 is reliable, easy to clean, only as noisy as it should be, and looks decent.Amount of juice produced by a juicer is my biggest criteria, and the 8006 produces the most juice that I've experienced. So why not the full 5 stars? For a few small reasons. First, since this juicer is truly nothing more than an electric motor within a housing, it seems a tad pricey. Being that most people will place their juicer up against a wall, the on/off switch couldn't possibly be in a worse place to reach; the bottom center back. The vegetable feed opening requires items to be chopped fairly narrow, but to be fair, the extra chopping probably results in more juice extracted. I would still buy this juicer and no other, but I only ever give 5 stars to a "perfect" product.Being a masticating juicer with an auger, the 8006 does not do well juicing fruits or anything soft-bodied, particularly citrus, nor does it claim to. This is a true "juicer's" juicer for vegetables, not making smoothies or orange juice. Don't worry, if you want to include soft fruits in your veggie juice you can, you just have to juice the fruits first, and let harder veggies push them through.

Great machine, great quality, great price
The machine is a joy to put together, fits together like a watch. Works even better, with vegetable/fruit juices being fun to make. We've had the most fun making orange and carrot juice, alternating pieces of orange and carrot. Apple juice is a pain to make, the apple puree just doesn't have the consistency to get pushed through with the screws on the auger, so backs up and clogs up the machine. Only alternative would be to use some pieces of harder fruit or vegetable to force this through, I guess. Clean up is very fast, even during sessions when you are making more than one kind of juice.Biggest con to use, and only reason this doesn't get five stars, is that the feed tube is relatively small and this necessitates a lot of prep time. Fruit and vegetables must be cut down to fit. Still, once you factor this into your thinking about the time the whole process will take, it isn't a big deal.Overall, the juice is great, the machine does a fantastic job, and it feels like it could last forever. Only time will tell, but very happy with it so far.

Love it! Just wish it wasn't trying to break itself...
This was a great buy and I love the juicer. We use it almost every day and have really been enjoying the health benefits. The only issue I've had so far is the same as what someone else mentioned, the "screw" part of the masticating process has gotten scrape or gouge marks on it and I'm really not sure why. It is extremely easy to use, clean, and put back together so it's not like I'm doing it wrong... The gouge marks are the ONLY reason that this review didn't get five stars, because I suspect that whatever the issue is it will shorten the life of the juicer. Also, for the sake of honesty/clarity I have not yet contacted the company with the issue, so I do not know if it is covered under the warranty that's included or not.

Very disapointed, I lost my money
This juicer is very delicate, I have broken 3 screens so far! now I have a lot of wheat grass and unable to juice it until I get a new screen. That part is not easy no buy, if you go to the "Omega juicers" official site you will surprise that part number is always out of stock and it cost $120+, so you have to include that amount in your quarterly budget.

Great unit. Great Price.
Bought the Omega J8006 early summer of '13. Had started with a decent Breville centrifugal juicer but was juicing heavily (and lost 53 lbs. in 10 weeks in the process by making juice the mainstay of my diet) and was trying to get as much out of the produce as possible. Felt like the centrifugal juicer was leaving too much product behind and when you're spending money on good organic produce you should consider taking the time to get as much out of it as possible. I would say my yield increased 10-15% and the 'tailings' were much drier than the centrifugal unit. This unit really does good hard work. Takes a little longer to prep produce and to grind through the produce compared to using the centrifugal unit but well worth the effort for both quality and quantity. This thing is a real workhorse and I've had no trouble with it at all. I really put this unit to the hard work testing and still use it once or twice a week. Easy to assemble, use, disassemble, clean and store. I don't like to be away from this appliance too long as it's use is now an integral part of our food processing. The health benefits of juicing are truly amazing, which is a whole nother story. A little discipline can change your life for the better, fast, on the weight loss side of the matters. Few machines can change your life to the better. This is one of them.

Way too complicated to enjoy
I watched the video on you tube prior to purchasing this item and thought it looked very high tech and snazzy. Upon receiving the item, I put it together and juiced lemons, apples, carrots, and cucumber. The juice drops out of the bottom with NO way to stop it so you will have a mess no matter what you do. The pulp falls out the front and does easily get stuck in the chute which means you will need to take it apart and clean out the chute just so you can finish juicing an apple. I am not happy with this product as you can tell.
