Rooted lemongrass (Cymbopogon Citratus)- 2 large Plants. One plant may have more than one stalks. Lemon grass is widely use in Asian cooking. Lemongrass are used for soup, curry, salad and all kinds of cooking that we want the meal to smell good and healthy. It is easy to grow and take care of lemongrass. You can plan them in ground. In winter, you take them out from the ground if your are in the cold area, then plant them in container and leave them inside your house for all winter. You take them out in late Spring again. You can use both leaves and stalk for cooking. We do not ship the tree in original container. We lift the tree out of its growing container and remove the loose soil. We put the soil covering the root ball to keep in the moisture.

waiting and watching and hopping
plants arrived within the estimated time amazon expected them but were two days late for 2-day priority mail. Not sellers fault. Thats was usps fault for the delay. Plants are light green, its actually taller then expected.... like 10 inches? one root doesnt really look so great so im not sure how well the plant is going to do.... i'm not really sure if i got the right plant to be honest. my invoice says lemongrass but the document about how to take care of my plant says "curry leaves." Is that another name for this? And it doesnt look exactly like the photos....it resembles a celery stalk with 3 or 4 little thin leaves shooting out....but i dont know...maybe thats how this plant looks in its early stages before it starts to grow, thicken, and blossom? Did arrive with moist newspaper and a plastic wrap around the roots to keep it alive. some of the leaves ontop though were bent or broken. i'm sure that wont damage the health of the plant and i'm sure it will take a few days for the palnt to adjust tpo its new home.. planted in a pot..... hopefully we'll see how this plant does in south facing sunlight. Update: after a few days, the leaves basically all turned yellow and were breaking off where they were bending/curling..... these plants died before 2 weeks. I assume alot of this had to do with how long the post office took to deliver ..... oh maybe it just wasnt any good stalks. Very disappointed.

smells great, tastes great.
Didn't get as tick as I expected, but it pretty enough. Plan to cut it on freeze to see if it will be good in cooking after frozen. Not hearty in my area

Prolific and healthy
Plant them in a container and give them water - then stand back! They have grown and multiplied like crazy in only about 6 months.

Lemongrass
I can't wait to harvest my own lemongrass. It's one of my favorite Asian herbs. The plants are doing well and growing...

Fabulous!
Product shipped quickly and in great condition. We were out of town when the shipment came, and the plants looked weak, but placed in water and they rebound.
