Didn’t fit my siding -6” plank vinyl (insulated back)
This seems to be a very sturdy, well made siding hook. Extra-large for hanging big wreaths or items with weight. Unfortunately, they didn’t work with my application. I’m not complaining. My siding guy was afraid they might not fit, but it was worth a shot. If you have siding that is flexible enough to push against and the mounting end can go up in and grab, I’m sure this would be awesome for you. Mine is way to stiff for it to work. I just wanted to give an honest review for those shopping.

it only took 12 hours to warp my siding!
I bought these hooks because I did not want to damage my vinyl siding when hanging 6lb (when wet) flower baskets (8in baskets-not window boxes)outside my windows because I live in a 3 family condo unit and the building is the property of the association. After a couple of weeks of research on this product I asked the other association members if it was ok to hang them using these hooks and everyone said yes because they seem to be the miracle non damaging vinyl siding hanging solution. They were very easy to install and I was very impressed with them at first. My siding is a VERY heavy shake style and much more durable than the regular old horizontal vinyl, so when these hooks snapped in (just like the instructions) I was confident that they would hold and my siding would not be damaged. The baskets looked great but the next morning when I went out side the hooks had bent inward and created pressure with the baskets against the house and had pulled the siding off the anchor in two spots and warped the siding. Why these hooks bent I don't know, because they are rated for 12lbs each and I weighed each basket after i water it to make sure that there was PLENTY of room for a variance (if something hold 12lbs I assume that to be practical it will realistically only hold 8-10 lbs) so i figured 6 would be pretty safe! I've been trying all weekend to get the siding to go back to its original state and lay flat, but because its so thick its not budging. I've tried taking it apart and install a few new anchors and even have tried power grab and i've tried heating it, so at this point my only option is to have it replaced, because since this is an association, i am responsible for it and insurance wont cover it! I guess these hooks are really too good to be true, oh well!

Great for 9 lbs. Install is the only tricky part.
I bought the vinyl hooks which could be used for ten pound items and easily hung a nine pound item from each. Yes, it takes some effort to get them under the siding until they "click," but there was no harm to my siding when I installed them, or since. I used a wide blade to wedge the sliding out, then slid the hooks up and in. I would recommend giving them an outdoor clear coat of spray paint, because although they are stainless steel, they will rust in spots. Also, these bigger ones are visible, so spray painting them the color of your siding makes them nearly invisiible, and solves the problem of rust. Everyone loves the art we hung outside, and no one mentions the hooks. And how wonderful not to have to drill holes in the siding!

Love it!
Great stuff! This won't work for all types of building siding, but should work for the common kind that slots into each other. These hooks need to be gently slid into gap and grab onto an edge behind the siding to be secure. I used it for a heavy wreath, so I used two (at two different things locations to spread out the weight, top and bottom). If you are using it for a heavy object, keep in mind that the weight limit also affects the siding itself. Excessive weight, and siding will warp. If using multiple hooks, us it in two vertical spots (if possible) rather than horizontally on the same siding.I have another building that I manage where these hooks do not work due to a different type of siding used.

Works great for outside decor
Worked great to hold Christmas wreath. It was easy to install and thick enough to hold a fairly large wreath. Great alternative to screwing a holder into the siding.

Installed easy and held well!
I didn't know these existed until searching an option to hang some decorative Christmas garland (complete with lights) over our front door from vinyl siding. 2 of these on each side held perfectly. I wish there was something else I wanted to hang from my siding so I could get more use out of them....lol. But they will stay packed with the Christmas garland for now.

Great wreath hooks.
These hooks worked perfectly on my aluminum siding to hang a large Christmas wreath. I was sceptical at first but the wreath stayed put for a month. They did exactly what I wanted them to do.

Absolutely love these. I have three things hanging up where I never thought I could before unless I wanted to put a nail into the side of my house. With these they slip in easily and out just as easily. But still manage to hold the giant wreath and bells I am using these to hold up. I will definitely get more of these if I want to hang more items on the side of my house next year.
