My son has a male teacher and it is time for the holiday break. Here it is...time to give teachers a gift. What do we get a 5th grade male teacher?! Next came the question, what would be a useful and great gift that's far away from the typical teacher gifts of Starbucks gift cards, ornaments, mason jar cookie mixes, coffee mugs...etc? Also, what is something that will be exciting to give rather than the kid feel silly &/or 'meh' about giving the gift to his male teacher? After looking through the different options of desktop Post-it dispensers, I settled on choosing this one which definitely stood out as one of the more amusing dispensers standing out from the rest and is definitely a conversation starter, catching people's eyes passing by the desk.The weighted base is a bit over 3 1/2 inches wide, 5 inches deep and a bit under 4 1/2 inches tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the figure's head. It's nice that the bottom of the base has 4 soft plastic rounded dots that keep the base from scratching your desk. I use the surrounding platform to store paperclips, although the base is not magnetic. Behind the figure is an attached pencil/pen holder that will fit one narrow writing instrument (fits up to a standard Sharpie size) but the holder is not closed ended, so if you have an uncapped pencil or pen, that may leave marks on the light tan colored textured plastic base.The plastic karate figure has a noticeable seam along the front of the face and body as you can see that it is put together from at least 2 pieces and glued together (a left side and a right side), so if you're a perfectionist, that might annoy you, otherwise this is a fun product to make your desk a little less serious :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute, funny, functional *by I***. on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on August 17, 2016* I've seen this at Staples and immediately decided I need to have this. So I ordered online since Staples is overpriced. Arrived today. the base is heavy enough for it to be sturdy. The pen holder affixed to the back of the dude is a very nice touch since I can never find a pen around where the post-its are. everybody just steals loose pens. this way maybe it will stay :) I am definitely recommending this product, and I think it can make a good gift for anybody into martial arts - it's themed and functional.
