This mortar and pestle set is very nice and extremely heavy. Perfect for my needs. Came in a set of two each. Only problem is one of the pestals came damaged. Chunks are missing. It was packed this way because I didn't find any of the pieces in the box. I'm not sure what to do with it now.maybe just a replacement part would be great.

Larger than expected! It is the perfect size for 3-4 avocado guacamole. Exterior is nicely polished but rustic, and interior has enough texture to make mixing easy. The pestle is oversized in a good way, and easy to handle. May order a second one for salsa because they are attractive enough to use as serving pieces.

Hi! I really can not give you much feedback. I am in the middle of a move and will not be using my bowl for awhile. The other bowl is a gift for my brother and he will not received it till May.I love the look and it will look fantastic in our new home. I plan to keep it out on the counter..Thanks for taking the time to read my response.

Item came as one mortar. No pestle and definetely not a set of 2. Just one bowl. Thats all I got. Amazon refunded me, but it's veey disappointing to have to order again and hope and pray it comes as advertised next time. 😒

Hard to write a review if 1/4 of product received! Only received ONE MORTAR (it is nice and exactly what I was looking for)... not even one pestal (so can't even try nice mortar). No way to ask for missing pieces so returning it and will buy someplace else. What a disappointment (and pain!!)

Easy to clean and perfect for crushing spices and herbs. It is very heavy as it's solid stone. It also makes a beautiful piece on the counter/island/hutch.

Why is it advertised as set of 2 when I only got one set?

Exactly the right size for my son's needs. Just like those for making pesto in Italy and sold at the vendor markets!
