As the company who makes Keralyt 5 Gel and Keralyt 5 Shampoo, we suggest that, if you have specific scaling or flaking patches or targeted areas you are looking to smooth and normalize, the gel is a great choice for penetration and coverage. If you are looking for more generalized washing out and removal of flakes, the shampoo is ideal. Both Keralyt 5 Gel and Keralyt 5 Shampoo can be used on affected areas of the scalp before bathing. Some consider the shampoo more convenient than the gel because you can simply add water, lather and rinse.
