RM Locomotive Train Engine Metal Cookie Cutter for Baking / Birthday Party Favors / Scrapbooking Stencil

I love these locomotive cookie cutters. I bought them specifically because my husband, who's a railroad buff, was having his railroad bunch (club?) over, so they could all see his model railroad. They came from all over the state. Because they all had to travel so far, I thought it was appropriate to feed them all lunch.I used these cookie cutters to create train-shaped shortbread cookies, which I made into train-shaped ice cream sandwiches (I even used the cutter to cut the ice cream into the shape of a locomotive). The RR group was surprised and delighted with this meal--particularly with the train ice-cream sandwiches! Thanks for having these! They made everybody's day! And the ice cream sandwiches were a hit. Nobody was expecting them!

This cookie cutter is cute, and my 18 month old knew exactly what it was when I took it out of the box. I was excited to use it to cut sandwiches (hoping he'd actually eat them), but after one wash in the dishwasher it came out rusty. I know that is totally my fault, but I don't remember seeing in the description of the item that it wasn't dishwasher safe. Although I could wipe the rust off, I'm not comfortable using it to cut food anymore. I guess we'll use it as a playdoh toy, when my toddler is old enough to play with (and not eat) playdoh. For now it's shoved in a drawer.I would not purchase again. Next time, I'll pay more for a silicon mold.

Not heavy duty, but the price was right. Bought it for the 150 year celebration of the golden spike. Wish I could have found one a little bigger.

Trains are big. So train cookies are always a hit with kids. Not only does this work for themed birthday parties and events, it's also a good holiday shape to add to the holiday baking mix.This is a what you see, is what you get item. No faults that I can see.

Bought this for my son's 2nd birthday. This cutter did a fine job but the cookies were so large that it was hard to see what the shape was. I am sure that was simply because of my recipe for sugar cookies. I did ice them nicely with color flow icing so that they were distinguishable as trains.

Although the description did not say "sandwich cutter"...I thought I would buy it and give it a try. Well, if you are looking to do the same....don't buy this. I am sure this would be great as a cookie cutter but the metal on each side of the cutter is too sharp to be used to press through a sandwich. The design and the size is great...like I said...probably as a cookie cutter. Great for train themed parties.

While i was punching out the dough, i thought it was too small for the details to come out and thought the cookies wont look like trains. But surprisingly, the kids in the birthday party figured it out quickly that we were going to decorate a train. I think it should be a bit bigger to make it easier for the punched dough to come off.

I bought this to make train cookies and train-shaped pb&j sandwiches for my 2-year-old's birthday party. They turned out wonderfully, though I wish I could have fit 2 trains on one piece of bread... it had a lot of leftovers!!!

Facile a utiliser. Se lave et s'essuie très bien. Ne prend pas beaucoup de place pour le ranger. Peut l'utiliser souvent.
