Very nice introductory manual
While it is a short volume it does provide a very good basic introduction to C. Having been a COBOL <gaso> programmer in the past, and currently working with proprietary languages I had a good background to begin with. However I think if someone is looking to just get their feet wet this would be a good place to start. And the price on Kindle can't be beat.

C programming language is the most widely used programming language today. This book explains the C programming language that can help you to develop and enhance your programming skills. This book will teach you how to perform its functions in the most efficient way we can.

Good - to this novice
Four stars - very shallow on file handling and the problems with standard input. Otherwise, to this novice, pretty darn good!

I have significant programming experience but I've always wanted to learn C so I thought I'd go back to basics with this book. It is absolutely a beginners guide as the title suggests; a primer if you will. I would recommend this book to those curious about programming in C that just want to dip their toe in to see if it's right for them. Under such circumstance it's better to get this small book than a huge tome. If you find C is for you then you will absolutely need to buy other in depth C books. You do NOT need to buy any software to use this book (or for any other C book for that matter) as it uses the free software Code Blocks. The book covers the basic fundamentals of C programming including I/O, variables, arrays, math operators, comparison operators, loops, functions, strings, constants, structures, time functions, and pointers. There are a few errors in the code and I couldn't find any errata for the book, these errors will trip up absolute beginners to programming unfortunately but there aren't many of them - an online C forum should put you right on those issues. The chapter on pointers needed more detail to be of real use, it's a bit hit and miss. Those are my only criticisms. I really enjoyed the simplicity of some of the explanations on programming concepts, concepts I already know and fully understood but yet were explained in the most simplistic language that I know would be of great benefit to absolute beginners to programming. As expected of a book this size there are no exercises to do at the end of each chapter or Q&A sections. Overall an excellent basic introduction.

Good written book with a good structure to get as beginner into the C-Language. On the other hand there are a lot of mistakes by the author which can confuse very much. From smaller spelling mistakes "cher" instead of "char" until a full code which seems to be just copy and pasted from the example before without making the necessary changes. That makes you doubt in yourself sometimes, even you have typed everything exactly as the author the program doesn't run as it should. On the other hand it makes you more aware of what you are doing and I think you can remember better. Since that is not the intend of the book I still give it only 2 stars.

explains (almost) things fairly good, but it could explain certain uses of protocols better.ie what protocl other than #<stdio.h> and when to use them.it does take you thru a basic intro, ive had to read it twicei havnt done the course on my pc yet and i havnt quite grasped all the explanations.says u should be able to build a tic tac to box about 3/4s way thru book!it mentions its a beginners book,so yuo will need to buy an intermediate ,advanced c programming book later! not bad for 14$ and it came just 2 days after publishing!

Eu nunca tinha programado em linguagem C e gostei deste livro. Direto ao ponto e sem enrolação, dando os princípios desta linguagem.
