I have only gave this one star as it did not fit my intended application. It was no reflection on the item, its just that I cannot review something that I didn't use. In fairness it did seem okay though.**UPDATE**I have updated the rating on this cable as I decided that it was unfair to score the product low because it didn't fit my application. As stated previously the cable looked good enough quality and on reflection, I think it is my original equipment that is the issue.

This coax does work but I'm sure it could be better, once id settled on my antenna position I wanted/needed to shorten the length and attach some new SMA connectors. For info the copper core is actually copper coated steel at .90mm diameter so in my case the SMA centre pin was to small so adjustment of the core was required. Also the braiding looks nothing like shown in the diagram, I would say around 60 at a push 70% coverage however it does have the foil wrap as shown. So basically I shortened 15mtr to 2mtr to get satisfactory result with direct line of sight to the mast at just less than 2 mile. Ended up with 30 down and 30 up.

Male SMA to Female SMA nicely terminated and good strain relief on a high quality RG58 coax cable. Good VSWR and operating well up to 3GHz. Great for downlinks, antenna feeds, Receiver connection etc... i used this for a range of bands and i have to say its a nice quality cable. The version i had was 5m in length and its been out side on a GPS antenna for whole of autumn and winter, without any problems. I'm so pleased with this cable i am more than happy to buy more. Really pleased with the quality of the connectors. RG58 cable is a known really good RF cable with great screening, low parasitic effects and 50ohm impedance. Happy to highly recommend, Andrew.

If you are locating your transceiver, or scanner antenna in a more receptive position, such as higher up on a car roof, or outside a window, this is an ideal way to connect the antenna to the radio. Providing you are using SMA connections, this lead gives you male to female plug and socket to simply extend the antenna away from the radio.In my photos, I have shown the cable connected to my portable transceiver one end and the Nagoya antenna on the other end. The cable itself is well made standard RG58 small coax. Each end is protected by a thick heat shrink covering that makes a good joint to the solid brass SMA connectors.Price-wise you are getting 16.4 ft (5M) of quality cable and ready-made connections for 13.00 Not a bad price and long enough to achieve a better placement and for your antenna and radio set.

Using this on a mobile phone booster from the loft to downstairs.Signal loss on a 5m cable is well within what I expect. Thickness of the cable suggest its got some decent shielding within it. Signal strength suggests that this is the case.Connectors are true to spec and have no wiggle once screwed in.Quite a good cable that did everything that I needed it to. Might buy another for my ADSB receiver.

This work as expected.It is good quality and give me a veryGood signal when Connected to my antenna which is absolutely lovely.

Used this cable to attach from a rearview camera installed on the back of my RV to connect with a transmitter I had at the front of my camper to send WIFI to my truck screen. Cable works just as I had hoped and reduces or eliminates blanking out. Would purchase again if it were necessary.

Work like a charm with my SDR. I bought three, so I could get comfortably out of the house, with all its RF.And I finally got a nice/clean signal and all the stations came in, which none did inside the house.I like that the couplers at the extremities are solidly set into place.Within reason, I dont see them ever coming loose.And it's RG58, so minimal signal loss.
