Fantastic sawdust control!
I work in a hospital setting and noted that whenever construction was working on an area they used Zipwalls to keep the dust under control. So, when I had a home project to do I decided to order one on-line. We refinished our hardwood floors in one bedroom and used this to wall off the bedroom for sawdust and fume control. It was fantastic! I did reinforce the edges with painters tape, not because there was a problem, but just because I wanted to be extra sure all the sawdust didn't get all over my house. I also rolled up a towel and weighed down the bottom edge when we were done for the day. I have lived through this type of home project before, without a Zipwall, and the difference was night and day. I highly recommend getting a Zipwall as it's worth its weight in gold for sawdust control.

Very sturdy
I used this to cordon off part of my house as a quarantine measure, not for construction, but I was none the less impressed. The plastic is strong, the zippers are sturdy. I used the double stick tape provided, around the edge of the door trim. It’s very strong and I fear I will have a mess when I remove it. But the trim could use painting anyway so I’m not too concerned. I would not trust the tape long term on the wall. It’s very strong. If I use this again for construction I would probably raise it up in the doorway so that the bottom just touches the floor a little bit, rather than a foot of plastic lying on the floor ( see picture) but for my purposes it didn’t matter. If you taped the side edges down to the floor for even better dust sealing , I think you could still go in and out using just one zipper. If you had to take things in and out you might zip up both zippers. If your doorway is wider than the plastic you would have to work something out with adding plastic to the sides. Mine is just over 4 feet and there is extra plastic. In all this works great.

Worked really well - reusable
We were getting demo work (drywall cut out and replaced) done in our garage, and then we had the garage floor epoxied. This required that the previous epoxy be ground off the garage floor with sanders. Unfortunately, our garage entry door opens right into our family room, so we wanted something to keep the dust out of the house. The Zip Door worked great. My husband and I hung it with 2 inch wide painters tape (3m Brand with Edge Lock). We doubled the tape on all sides and also added vertical "straps" of the tap at the top of the door. The Zip Door stayed up with no problems, but I did run my hand over the tape to reseal it every morning. The plastic is nice and thick and the zippers are good quality. Now, to be forewarned, we did not "unzip" the Zip Wall and go in/out of this door multiple times. We did occasionally use the door, but this was more of a barrier. I am not sure if the painters tape would keep the Zip Door up with frequent comings and goings. But, I was scared to use the provided double sided tape on painted walls - I figured that the provided tape could tear the drywall in the family room. Overall this is a really nice product, and I plan on reusing it in the future when we get our bathroom redone.

Works
Holds dust very well. Tape seems strong. Zippers are large and work well. Great item that is ready to protect a door out of the bag with all parts in the kit.UPDATE double sided tape began to fall off of wall after 3 weeks.

Exactly as advertised (rated: Worth It!)
Replacing carpet in Master bedroom with hardwood. "Sandless dusting" is anything but!Thankfully the Zipwall worked as promised. Went up easy with double sided tape. Zipper installed allowed access, but kept all that dust out. Kept my cats out too, which is huge! Imagine stained footprints everywhere else in the house!Pros: kept out the dust!Prevented workers from accessing the rest of the house (can hear zipper!)Kept cats and dog from stepping in stain!Easy (really easy!) to put up.Cons: cats will still push under plastic (so add some barriers)

Keep the dust out! (or in I guess) Works very well.
This product is great, just what I was looking for. I was worried at first by some comments about the tape so I will speak on my experience with that. The tape is a type of high bond tape, 2-sided with one side being covered with a red plastic layer. You should place the tape on the door frame leaving one side covered with the plastic protective coating. Press and rub the tape onto the door frame firmly and allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes before removing the red protective layer (this is common for high bond type tape). Once you have waited a bit remove the red protective layer to expose the side of the tape that will adhere to the zipdoor. I recommend having someone help you apply the door to get it nice and straight. Once you have applied the door follow the press, rub wait procedure again. As an extra measure I also use painters tape to secure the edges of the door along the wall to reduce the stress on the taped surface along the door edge. You should also make sure the surface are clean and dry before you do all this. Now that it is up the door is fantastic! I installed a window fan in the room creating a laminar flow from inside to outside that helps also. The door feels very strong and having two zippers is a big plus. I would definitely recommend this dust abatement door.

Decent - not great - the tape is excrement
Install this today. Can’t say anything about longevity, but the zippers look decent. The included tape is useless as it does not stick to poly 🙄

ZIPWALL ZipDoor ZDS Standard Dust Barrier Zipper Door Kit, 1 Pack, Red
I bought two of this product to section off the upper level of the house to the basement. When I run the sanitizing lights I close the other section off and do one section at a time. Works well. I'm allergic to dust and everyone knows, dust is everywhere!
