APEX DISPLAY MODULE-ADM THE APEX DISPLAY MODULE IS A SLEEK AND COMPACT WAY FOR YOUR TO INTERACT WITH THE APEX BASE UNIT AND CONTROL NEARLY EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR AQUARIUM. Mechanical, not membrane keypadOur Display Module uses high-quality, mechanical buttons. So what you say? Well many devices out there make use of what are called capacitive touch pads. This type of membrane button is just fine for your toaster oven, but in a saltwater environment it is highly susceptible to failure. So, even though the cost to us was higher, we went with mechanical buttons for our Display Module ensuring your product a much longer life.Adjustable contrast, high-resolution, backlit graphic displayWhile some may tout the importance of a color display, we disagree. We believe the most important thing for our customers is ease in readability and size of the display. What good is a color display if it is barely larger than a postage stamp. That is why we went with the backlit graphical display we did. It was the perfect match of function and value for our customers.Built-In Speaker Plays Multiple Alarm TonesInside the Apex Display Module is a tiny speaker with a big heart. This speaker will play one of many alarm sounds and tunes that are built into the Apex. These alarms are perfect to alert you of a water leak, over temp, or whatever you condition you desire to program into the Apex.Multiple Display Module CapabilityWith the Apex Display Module you are not limited to having just one control panel. With the Apex (as an option) you can add one, two, even three control panels all to the same Apex. And, these are not watered down, smaller versions of the main control panel, all modules will have the same display and functionality.

Cadillac of Controller Displays
Purchased to have 2 displays for my aquarium. One at the tank, and one behind the wall in the fishroom. Very easy to use, and ties right into any current Apex without modification. The only exception would be if you are at your max capacity of modules. The Jr limits you to 5 modules, but the normal Apex allows up to 240 modules. That's what I run. The finish is sleek, but you can get fingerprints all over it. It's also easy to scratch. I actually prefer the powder-type finishes for something that's around water all day. But, the ease of flipping through the many screens "really" makes up for it.I didn't get a newer model display as shown in the picture. I got the older looking one. I really wanted that new logo looking one, but they work the same.I've used DA, GHL, and Reef Angel. The Neptune is my favorite of the bunch because of it's ease of use and support team. Recently, I had a module go crazy on me, after a firmware upgrade. They were quick to get my problem resolved. When sending things in for repair (I broke a cable on my other display and have sent it in), they are just as quick and are thorough in communication. When you spend this much for an aquarium "luxury," it's nice to have people jump through hoops to keep you happy. The only reason I took away a star is because their pricing is a bit on the high side and it would be nice to get the display in different colors and finishes to match the surroundings of someone's aquarium. Not a big deal, but aesthetics mean more to people than they'd like to admit.

I really love my Apex
I really love my Apex, but the cord that attaches the USB connector of the AquaController to the system is very thin. I accidentally, with very little effort, got it caught on the door to my cabinet and stripped the wires. I had to turn around and buy this replacement the day after the original purchase. It was a mistake on my part, but the cord should be much more heavy duty. The size and strength of any other USB cable I have ever used would be plenty.

Dropped my 5+ year old display and the contrast would not adjust as it should. I bought this replacement and it works exactly as it should. Just Neptune doing what Neptune does. Quality!

Works great
It's not needed but nice to have something that gives you a status at a glance. And I like not having to get my phone salty when doing maintenance
