Works for me
I have had IBS-D for at least 6 years. I found two things that have worked miracles. First, I found Nerva, the hypnotherapy program for IBS and, second, Iberogast. Nerva helped about 80%. Iberogast took me across the line. I can't say my IBS is totally gone, as stress can bring it back. But, for the most part, I'm over it.

Expensive but helpful
My wife has a poor digestive system, which doctors think was an acid problem. But ant-acids didn't help. This product does help her stomach, so she swears by it

SIDE EFFECTS - Possible Liver Damage
I took this pro-kinetic supplement for only two weeks in September when I coincidentally had a routine blood test and found out my liver enzymes were sky high. I am now am seeing a hepatology doctor for a Drug Induced Liver Injury (DILI) due to taking Iberogast. The doctor says it's not unusual for herbal supplements to cause DILI which totally surprised me. I’m otherwise healthy and have never had a liver problem in my life.Coincidentally, in September 2018, Bayer lost a case it had been fighting for years and now will be required to add a warning to their product. Of course, I hadn’t seen this before taking the supplement. See below the beginning of an article about this.FRANKFURT (Reuters) - German drugmaker will add a warning of rare cases of liver damage to the label of prescription-free stomach relief drops Iberogast after Germany’s drugs regulator said a death was linked to the product.Drug safety watchdog BfArM said Bayer had dropped a legal challenge against a stricter warning after fresh reports of liver damage in users of the drops, including one patient who died after receiving a liver transplant. To see the full article, just google on Iberogast. You'll also see other articles about liver damage. The ingredient in Iberogast that is causing issues is Celandine. If you go to the LiverTox website by NIH you can read about this herbal ingredient's toxicity.I want to prevent others from the scare that I've had and all the subsequent lab tests. Fortunately, my liver seems to be on the road to recovery and will just need more time. Meanwhile I have to be tested on a regular basis. DILI can also cause additional liver disease which fortunately I don't have at this time.Based on the other positive reviews, obviously some people's livers are not sensitive to Celandine but I wouldn't take the chance or I'd get while using it.

Great for IBS…
I’ve used this product for years. Only thing that settles the pain when I have an IBS attack.

Works
Works very well for an upset stomach. Difficult to find in stores. My Costco used to carry it but no longer. Price is very comparable so nothing to lose.
