Brag to your houseguests without saying a word and enjoy your holiday season a little more with my handmade industrial design oak high top table I constructed in my Albany, NY workshop. Remember that what you put your wine on is just as important as what you put in it. The table top is made entirely from edge grain oak, which makes it resemble a butcher block design, and bounded entirely by angle aluminum that is held in place with stainless steel carriage bolts (there is a nylon washer between the two to prevent galvanic action). The center pole is made from two equal length 2 inch black steel pipes with a coupling connecting them. The base is a automobile flywheel that was ground down to bare metal, cleaned and painted with a clear enamel to protect it. The oak top was stained with a gray stain to provide a weathered appearance followed by a satin polyurethane finish. I intentionally made this table a little shorter than the high top tables I've made in the past because of comments I've received from female customers in the past saying the standard 41 1/2 inch height is fine but if it was a couple inches shorter it would be ideal. So the height is set for the ladies. Dimensions: width/length: 23 3/8 inches height: 39 1/4 inches To save enormous shipping costs the center pole and base will be unscrewed so it collapses. No tools necessary for reassembly.
