I’ve seen reviews that say the straps break very easily after first use.** A: I don’t know what other people are doing but I bought these masks back in February (?) for a destination wedding in March and they are still in great shape. I’ve washed them, tumble dried them on low and not one has ever had a broken strap or have lost the little rubber tightening or loosening on the straps. It certainly wouldn’t offer much protection for you as the wearer as it is very thin but it makes for easy & comfortable breathing. If you were wearing to protect others, it likely would do very little as well. It would also not stay out if you are very active-because the straps/cloth are smooth & slippery.
