Williams-Sonoma Kids in the Kitchen: Fun Food

This is a fun book with interesting foods for kids to cook with an adult or by themselves. My granddaughter made a cute mouse potato which their family loved. I believe that was from this book as I sent her several books. But this had easy recipes that kids could do with some adult supervision. I also got her the chef hat and apron that Amazon sells as well and she loved it and tried it out immediately. Even someone older can use the neat fun ideas of this book. Food can be fun and kids love to do fun things that people admire and think are cute. This is a good book for anyone with kids or grandkids or for gifts.

I ordered this cookbook for my granddaugher's 11th birthday. Our plan was for she and I to have an in-home "cooking camp" for the week we were visiting. It was a tremendous success. The book played an important part in planning our "mystery dinner" for her folks and family as a number of the recipes that were used for that special evening came from the book. The directions were well illustrated and easy to follow, and the food delicious. It did take a lot longer to get the book than I thought it would, but that might have been because I bought it used - but it looked new.

He (and his mom) like the clear instructions and great pictures in this book. The recipes are for real food, using real culinary skills to cook. We'll see if he stays interested in cooking in years to come, but he's already promising me discounts to eat at his restaurant when he becomes a chef. Not free - just discounts!I've bought a lot of Williams-Sonoma merchandise in my life and it's all first class, which is what attracted me to buy this book. I wouldn't be surprised if grandson takes care of this book and passes it on to his own kids at some point in the future.

My 10 year old son received this for Christmas and has already made 3 recipes from the book. The recipes are thorough and have pictures for each step. The beginning of the book goes over some cooking basics (how to measure, how to chop, etc). All of the recipes are pretty basic so a good foundation to start your child cooking!

I purchased this as a gift for an eleven year old boy. I also bought him mixing bowls and utensils (spatula and whisk and spoons) and an apron set that included pot holders. I was so excited I saw him looking through this cookbook on Christmas night. He told me that he already decided which recipe he was going to make first. This book has easy to follow instructions and step by step pictures.

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson and although he hasn't tried any of the recipes yet ems that the instructions, photos and general tips are going to make it easy for him to succeed. I especially liked that the recipes include foods he will want to eat. Very well put together, as one would expect from Williams-Sonoma.

I have a 7 yr. old grandson who makes pancakes every time he comes to stay over. For his birthday, I got him an electric griddle (safer than a gas range top) and this book. He was excited. I especially like the book because it shows a boy on the cover. The book is very well written. has great pictures, and the price was unbeatable!

I bought this cookbook for my 9 year old granddaughter for Christmas. It's not Christmas yet but I know she's going to love this book. Over the past year shes shown an interest in cooking. I'm impressed with the recipes and directions in this book. The book itself is a very nice well made book.

I have been collecting books for months to send to my great grand kids. I started this practice with their mother (my grand daughter) and it has been having the same positive affect on her kids as it did her. This book is a good addition to that collection. It doesn't get too complex yet still retains the importance of proper cooking for kids. My Great Grand Kids love it.

Finally arrived after a month. It was in excellent shape. Their shipper needs a better tracking system as it was showing being in Chicago for 3 weeks. The book itself seems to be a good one for kids 6 and up
