I suffer from low-back pain which also extends to pain in my hip and upper leg. I do lots of exercises learned in physical therapy to control the pain but felt I needed something to support my back for the rest of the day. I saw Aid-Brace Back Brace Support Belt and compared the various reviews of it and of other similar belts. I measured my waist and used that to choose Medium and it is a perfect fit. It is easy to put on and to get the Velcro closures exactly where you want for a firm and comfortable fit. The height of the brace is just right. It fits just under the ribs and doesn't poke or feel like something is jabbing into your side. It fits as a smooth, firm belt, as it should. The support and light pressure it gives to my back is better than a hot bath! For the reasonable price it is worth every penny. Thank you, AidBrace for designing such a great support belt!

This is a thicker and more supportive back brace than others I've tried. It is made well. It has additional padding to provide comfort and support in the right areas. ***It does run a little small per size chart. I'm a 32 waist pant and got the S/M in this. (The L/XL MIGHT have been too big... wish there was an in-between option, ie. M/L).***

I am 5 ft 2 and 120 lbsI wear it over a fitted tshirt and it stays put. It is helping my posture and I have gone to the gym with it on. I am able to walk, push ups, weights, but I take it off when I do abdominal exercises on the floor. I like that I can make it tight and it is not curling like my other one. If you like more flexibility than this might not be for you. This has the structure like my weight belt but slim to help with contouring my belly which I am working to slim down

On the one hand this brace is definitely more supportive than others I have tried. On the other had, it is bulkier than other. For instance, it is much harder to get your pants buttoned wearing this brace because it adds so much width around your middle. If you have very loose fitting pants to begin with or you can wear this over your pants and shirt (rather than under them), this probably won't be bothersome to you. I wear mine for playing golf and it definitely is.

I work in food service and spend most of the day standing on my feet, with some day, no time to sit down ... my lower back would just kill not even an half hour into work ... I tried new shoes, floor mats, and even pain killers and creams and nothing helped finally one Saturday out of desperation I ordered this right at work ... I had done some research on different braces and this one was my favorite ... I've been wearing it everyday for over a month now at work and I don't have hardly any back pain when I leave ... really changed life for me at work ... the brace its self is not heavy that I notice it and most the time I'm working so fast and hard I forget I'm wearing it ... no one can tell I'm wearing under my chef coat or shirt ...sometimes it does get hot, but everything does working over a stove for hours at a time ... it's flexible and doesn't hinder my movements ... even a hand full of my coworkers have noticed a difference in me since I started wearing it and have asked me to send them a link so they can look into getting one ... $35 at the time was tight with bills needing to be paid at the time, but I would do it again in a heart beat I I had to, because with the amount of time it's saved me not having to call in or leave early, it's already paid for it self ... I understand that everybody is different and what works for me might not work for you, but I work recommend trying this brace if you are having chronic back pain everyday

I gave this item 5 stars, but I returned it because I found out quickly that it was not suited for my problem. It made me hurt worse because it turned out that my sciatic nerve was inflamed.Secondly, it was too big. I ordered up 2 sizes to 4x because these type of items always seem run way too small. I would say this is a true 4X. I am 5'6 and 200#. I'm very chubby in the waist area. I wear an XL in most leggings and a size 16 in jeans. 2X should have been the appropriate size for me. That would have enough slack to put it on easily, and to let it out some if I bloat or just need to release the pressure some.

This is a comfortable back brace, especially if you are small like me, as the height isn't high, like most braces. The fit seems fine. However, it is not a brace to wear for lifting purposes because it wouldn't stay where it was positioned and kept rising out of place. I tried it both over clothes and against my skin. I was stacking wood, therefore constantly bending over or squatting to pick up firewood. I do think it would be a great brace if one had to stand for awhile, like in a restaurant kitchen, or walking, possibly running too. I was bummed it kept rising on me because I really like the fit. I wore it when doing a lot of vacuuming one day. The support was there for sure and definitely helped ease lower back pain.

This belt works great. I work in a hospital and it's easy to neglect proper body mechanics and posture when you're lifting people all day. The belt makes me conscious of my movements and prevents me from bending my back when I lift. I lift with my legs now, and I don't slouch when I am charting/sitting at a desk. My back and legs are getting stronger and I'm not as fatigued and sore at the end of the day.
