I have a 5" Santoku knife at home that I love and after trying a 7" one I just had to add one to my collection. I have never purchased an knife online as I like to get a good feel for it before I buy. I took a chance on this knife since Amazon had it on sale for a really good price. I am very pleased with the knife. It does come in a nice box for storage exactly as shown in the photos. The Damascus blade is very well honed and slices tomatoes very thinly with little effort. I was concerned about the handle being too narrow, but it actually fits very well in my hand. I have had it a week now and have no regrets. I may purchase their chef knife in the near future if it is on sale. At the sale price the knife is a great value!UPDATE: After inspecting the knife, I did see that the blade appeared to be etched so as to look like a Damascus steel blade just as it was shown in another reviewer's photos. Now I question some of the other claims that were made about this knife. I purchased this for $50 on sale and am happy with spending that much on it. It does have a good feel and cuts very well. I probably will not purchase the chef knife and probably would not ever pay full price for this knife. I am satisfied with what I did get and still feel that it is good for what I paid for it.

This is not real Domascus steal. The blade is stained to give the appearance of it. It’s not a bad knife, it’s just not worth 60 bucks.
