You've seen the headlines: Womanizing billionaire player! Watch out! Stay away! We were just two strangers. Facing a forbidden attraction, a chemical connection. Neither of us expected or wanted it to amount to more. But I had never been drawn to a guy the way I was drawn to this one: my brother's best friend, and CEO of the company where I interned. Even knowing I should stay away, I proved to be too human, after all. The chemistry was amazing. The laughs were incredible. I opened up to him in more ways than I'd opened up to anyone before. But sex was as far as I'd go. Just sex because he was too irresistible. Just sex because I wouldn't be falling for him. Just sex because I'd leave in three months, and I'd like for my brother not to kill me, and for nobody to find out he was my wicked little secret. He wasn't the One. He was just a womanizer. But for a time, he would be mine. Review: out of all the three bad boys mentioned in the Manwhore series - Womanizer was not what I expected! First of all, out of all the three bad boys mentioned in the Manwhore series, (Saint, Tahoe and now Callan) I imagined Callan to be completely different. I also expected Olivia to actually know Callan! Like….your big brother has been friends with this guy for years! Surely you’ve seen pictures or catched a glimpse of him at events and such right? That’s a big no for Olivia who doesn’t even recognize the ‘hot smoker guy’ she’s been talking to and hanging out with…is actually her boss and brother’s best friend. The guy she’s been fantasizing over and opening up to. GAHHHH. As a reader I obviously realized who he was, I immediately saw what was going to happen but the entire time I thought to myself, ‘this is going to be SO bad!’ And yet I kept reading, my heart racing faster and faster until the moment they found out who the other person was and my heart exploded. The rest of Womanizer went by in a big, happy blur. Callan has obviously slept around and has a reputation throughout Chicago for it, but something about Livvy draws him to her. Which is somewhat of an issue considering one, she works for him. Two, she is also his best friend’s sister who apparently already warned Callan to stay away from. I love watching the funny, somewhat awkward and swoon worthy way they met and I loved watching them fall for one another. It’s a great story about two people falling in love with one another when they didn’t plan to and they also weren’t part of each other’s plan. Womanizer is in fact a love story, but it also has hidden undertones. People get so wrapped up in their futures, their plans that when something wonderful happens…they don’t know what to do. Or they can’t do something or be with someone because it doesn’t fit into their plan. Being too afraid to take that leap of faith isn’t living and that’s something that Katy Evans also writes about in Womanizer. An important message that I feel like every twenty something should know and hear. I really, really, really liked Olivia. I think it’s important as writers and authors that different stories from different perspectives are told. Olivia clearly has a plan for herself; first and foremost she wants to be a businesswoman and establish a career. Not every woman wants a relationship right away, love is put on the back burner until they can get some other things out of the way first. However, life is a tricky thing and random things happen both good and bad and things change. Sometimes for worse, sometimes for better…either way I think Katy Evans wrote a pretty good book about how sometimes your plan changes and you have to switch things around. Growing up in this country there’s a lot of things that we are ‘told we have to do’ or we have to ‘follow a certain plan’ without veering off it. It’s just really nice to read something that shows it’s okay to venture of the path of your plan and it was nice to watch Olivia deal with that and relate to it. And of course I loved Callan, he was kind of this intense quiet, bad boy vibe type of guy in Womanizer, but he also reminded me a of little boy who refused to quit until he got what he wanted; something I always enjoy reading about honestly. I loved Womanizer very much! It wasn’t at all what I was expecting but I think that’s the main reason I loved it so much. Olivia and Callan will forever hold a special place in my heart and thanks to another great book by Katy Evans, I can add another beautiful story to my bookshelf. Review: 4.5 SCORCHING HOT SMOKER GUY STARS!!! - “Nobody knows how to work and play better than Callan. And I’ve become this man’s favorite playground.” Holy smokes!! Who knew sleeping with the Boss--or sharing hits off a cigarette -- could be so darn sexy?! Fan Favorite author Katy Evans pulled off yet another coup with WOMANIZER, a swoon-worthy standalone installment in the wildly addictive Manwhore series! The red hot office romance was so habit forming that I may need a 12 step program to get over my EPIC. BOOK. HANGOVER!!! And speaking of vices, Callan Carmichael made taking a drag off his cigarette so arousing I do declare the Marlboro Man may be making a comeback! Although I did not have the pleasure of reading the other books in the Manwhore series (YET!!), the connection between the three best friend moguls Malcolm, Tahoe and Carmichael was easy enough to sort through. Callan’s the last man standing of the trio and is "a bad boy through and through; he’s holding court now as the hottest, richest bachelor in the city.” The heroine, Olivia Roth, is the gorgeous beast Tahoe’s baby sister and he pulls some strings to get her a coveted internship at Callan’s Fortune 500 company. At the age of twenty-two, she left Texas and jetted off to the Windy City armed with a business degree and big ambitions yet has a lot to prove, especially to herself. "I’m here to learn how to play with the big guys in the big leagues.” And no one is bigger than business titan Callan Carmichael, CEO of Carma Inc. Not only is he a NOTORIOUS womanizer but his reputation precedes him in the business world as well. Callan is a ruthless corporate shark, dubbed the "Takeover King" and though Olivia isn't exactly a fan of his cutthroat business tactics and is NOT looking for any special treatment she is very ambitious herself and looks forward to him showing her the ropes. "Learning from the toughest raiding firm in the country will teach me the dirty games companies play—so I can learn how to stop them and protect the companies I hope to serve. But I need to make sure I walk away from Carma three months from now without losing my soul." Despite her heady buzz from landing this incredible internship, she has yet to cross paths with the legendary Boss and even when she shines at work she has a major case of homesickness because it’s her first time ever living away from home. She finds her first friend in the most unlikely of places when she seeks out some fresh air in the top floor terrace, overlooking the spectacular Chicago skyline, and encounters HOT SMOKER GUY. Her attraction to him is INSTANTANEOUS and she assumes he’s some lowly mail room guy since he is not adhering to the drab dress code and seems to care less about rules or corporate protocol. Before she knows it, she finds herself sharing hits off his cigarette, and spilling her guts (about her paralyzing fear of heights) and sharing her dreams about her set-in-stone life plan. Day after day they meet up on the terrace and forge a special bond. Then one evening their cozy cigarette chats lead to a drunken night of mind-blowing sex!! But her fantasy filled night with HOT SMOKER GUY goes down in flames when she is mortified to discover her sexy bedmate is none other than but the bossman himself. Callan Carmichael. The rakish womanizer her brother and colleagues warned her to steer clear of! Umm...to late for that. Because, as it turns out, "the takeover king took me over last night." Aghast and beyond mortified she refuses to be the impossibly handsome Callan’s shiny new toy. But he whittles away at her defenses one smolderingly sexy look at a time! Although she know is all kinds of wrong and he threatens to put her carefully strategized life plan out of whack, he unleashes a hunger in her that transforms this safe and predictable good girl into a pleasure-seeking SEX KITTEN! But their forbidden fling can only be hidden for so long. "He's not the kind of man to be anyone’s dirty little secret. He’s the kind of man you flaunt." Can the womanizer be tamed and even if she manages to do the IMPOSSIBLE will she forfeit her lifelong career aspirations for the love of a lifetime? Ahh the forbidden passion!! The scandal! The Sparks!!! The scintillating push-pull! I just adored Livvie and Callan together. This darling duo sparkled in each scene and their chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS!! I have said it before and it bears repeating--no one writes SWOONY Alpha heroes like Ms. Evans! I honestly think this author is INCAPABLE of writing a hero whom we can't help but worship!! I always melt into a puddle when reading Katy Evans' romances because her roguishly sexy heroes can be dominate in the bedroom while also nurturing their women with such reverence like a precious jewel to be cherished. "His eyes are a mixture of hunger, amusement, and tenderness. He leans over and kisses me, slipping his tongue into my mouth slowly this time, as if I’m irresistible. Meant to be savored." Callan is a potent combo of arrogantly sexy, ALMIGHTY boss, PRIMAL lover and achingly gentle PROTECTOR. He lives life on his own terms and there are no rules he won't break for Livvie, who keeps him on his toes as much as he does her. And despite the fact that he’s a supposed player who has a bevy of female admirers at his disposal, I found it such a TURN-ON how he only had eyes for one lady. His beautiful Livvie. The “adorable, infuriating, irresistible girl ” who drives him mad with lust and longing and has him desperate to taste her sweet tempting lips, to pick her brilliant brain, exchange hopes and dreams and ideas, and seek out all those clusters of feckless!!! ! I could gush endlessly about WOMANIZER but I do have one small quibble: We only had two cameo scenes from Callan’s POV and while they were FANFREAKINGTASTIC, I greedily wanted more!!! I would have loved to be in the hero’s head more to gain further insight into his persona-- what drove him to take such professional risks, fueled his desires, his burning ambitions, and what truly made this fascinating enigmatic man tick. That aside, I still relished every single breathtaking moment of this book—"The stolen looks and the forbidden touches and the talks" and I WAS ALL IN from the first spellbinding moment to the very last!

If you are looking to fall in love… Like the head over heels kind then honestly, Womanizer is exactly what you need!
Katy Evan’s Womanizer is exactly why I LOVE reading a blood rushing, heart pumping, and blush worthy romance. From the very start, I was wild for Callan and Olivia. This author’s writing is so incredibly inviting that the pages kept turning and thinning a lot faster than I would have liked. I must be on Santa’s nice list this year because Womanizer was everything I could have asked for and more. A true romance of the modern day kind–so totally swoon-worthy, it had my panty in a twist. The characters utterly loveable, I wanted to get lost in them over and over again. I couldn’t get enough. I didn’t think that the Saints—Malcolm and Rachel could be topped but I have to say that Olivia and Callan have won me over. These two? UUUGGGHHH, I just loooooooooooooved them to pieces! Callan was always the quiet, more broody billionaire of the three and I honestly came into this book not knowing what to expect from him. Let me tell you… He delivered! Callan knocked me out of my boots and left me shaking from complete giddiness. He is delicious in every sense of the word! What I loved most about Callan was how decisive and sure he was not only in running his corporate empire, but especially when it came to Livvy. He was never unsure or flighty—he took charge and my goodness was it ever sexy! Olivia Roth as you may know is Tahoe’s younger sister and that right there already makes her off limits. Taking an internship opportunity with Callan’s company, Livvy has her heart and her mind set on a successful career. With her life’s plan practically set in stone, Callan coming into her life was most definitely not one she had planned on which is what she had a hard time coming to terms with. Olivia’s character was crazy refreshing. She was that appealing glass of ice cold lemonade during a hot summer day. My first taste of her dangerously addicting and I didn’t want to ever quit her. Livvy is by far one of my favorite heroines to date. A little too honest for her own good at times, the multiple word vomit she finds herself doing with Callan had me laughing out loud. Her naivety wasn’t a turn-off but rather it made her even more intriguing and it only heightened her sweet, natural sensuality. Chemistry is one of the most important elements in a good romance and in this book, there was no shortage of it. Livvy and Callan had the major hots for one another and you could almost feel their hunger for one another. These two burned the pages. They were just so damn hot! We’re talking major thigh clenching, I swear could have cracked walnuts between them. If you are looking to fall in love… Like the head over heels kind then honestly, Womanizer is exactly what you need! This book has all of Katy Evans signature style and that right there is everything. Romance worth a million exclamation points. A 5-star read that has my book shelf worthy stamp of approval.

So seductive!
WOW, this was an awesome read. As a fan of the Manwhore series, it was everything I expected and so much more. There was so much depth to the characters and the story. The slow burn building of Livvy and Callan’s relationship was realistic and their chemistry was undeniable. This book was one heck of an addictive and emotional read! Callan Carmichael is Malcom Saint and Tahoe Roth’s best friend. Together, they had quite a reputation as players but Callan is now the last man standing, the last bachelor of their group. Callan is the quintessential swoon-worthy hero, oozing charisma and confidence. He is controlling but has a very tender, sweet side that I found adorable. I’m not sure Callan really is a womanizer, though. He didn’t seem to have much time for that anyway! He is a mega successful corporate raider, specialized in hostile takeovers, and a certain level of ruthlessness comes with the territory, I guess. He is someone who has avoided personal entanglements for years and finds himself fascinated by a young intern, his best friend’s younger sister to boot. In a way, Callan is lonely in his ivory tower and he enjoys his burgeoning relationship with Livvy. He likes that she is real with him, pushes his buttons, even if he intimidates her. Livvy’s insecurities are a part of her personality. She is scared Callan will hurt her, but she can’t help being attracted to him. She opens up to him, tells him about her fears, her hopes and her plans for the future. She is not comfortable with the way he does business, though. Callan believes in her, encourages her and they both enjoy every moment they spend together, as they fall hard for each other. But Livvy has her life planned out, a life without Callan. Is Callan ready to come clean for her and show that he is all in? "Womanizer" was heart pounding, seductive and sexy as hell! Katy Evans writes beautifully and gives her readers all the feels, without unnecessary drama or angst. This book definitely put me in my happy place and I can’t recommend it enough! It’s mainly told in Livvy’s POV but one of the last chapters and the epilogue are in Callan’s much needed POV! Although it’s part of the Manwhore series, it can be read as a standalone. I hope there will be more books in this wonderful series, I’m greedy that way! An advance copy of this book was provided by the author.

Great story. I loved Callan
I enjoyed Womanizer. Did I love it. No, but I liked it and was entertained. I've read many books by Katy Evans and her writing never disappoints. The same can be said about Womanizer. The story and its pace just flowed and I couldn't stop reading. That being said I really wanted to love this story but Olivia was making it difficult. I found her behaving juvenile at times and her inner monologue was also testing my patience. She said one thing and did the opposite and it occurred numerous times. I just couldn't connect with her and believe me I tried. Callan was the highlight of Womanizer and I probably would have liked it more if I got more POV's with him. Callan has definitely had his share of women but with Olivia he showed what he was all about. He was intense, sexual and attentive. Work wise was he ambitious and determined. Together they were on fire. I could easily feel their attraction and their chemistry was sizzling. Katy Evans knows how to write sexy and believe me, Callan and Olivia was exactly that in bed. Another highlight was Olivia's friendship with Wynn and of course her brother Tahoe. Don't let my review discourage you from reading Womanizer just because of my issues. I certainly enjoyed this story and would recommend this book. 3 BadAssDirtyHotSmokerGuyStars

Callan Carmichael is up there with Remy Tate as one of my absolute Katy Evans favorites!
Callan Carmichael is the last man standing. The rest of his privileged bachelor brotherhood have been courted and captured and they're all committed to the women who came out of nowhere and stole their hearts. Callan is the only one left on Team Single. The notorious womanizer has no plans to settle down, won't even consider the idea of a relationship let alone marriage or children. And that oath remains true even after he inadvertently sleeps with his newest intern, who also happens to be his best friend's younger sister. I am so in love with what Katy Evans does with her characters, especially with her leading women. Like Rachel and Regina, Olivia is a bit vulnerable in her current circumstances. She's the single girl in a world where everyone seems to be pairing off, where everyone's plans are coming together while she's still trying to figure it all out. But while she's committed to her new job and is actively avoiding any romantic entanglements, she's also very taken with this stranger she meets on a rooftop. I found her so likable and relatable because, while she doesn't lack confidence or self esteem, she's still consistently questioning what on earth this powerful, magnetic man sees in her. I found her so "normal" in this book and thus was immediately invested in her journey both with and without Callan. She clearly has much to offer her field, her friends and any man that would be lucky enough to have her. It just so happens that the man of interest is the unattainable womanizer she works for. I found her determination so refreshing. This isn't just a story about a man who avoids commitment. Livvy is just as goal oriented, and a relationship of any kind just isn't part of her plan. I've thoroughly enjoyed every delectable bachelor in this series. But there's something especially delicious about Callan Carmichael. From the very beginning of this story, he just felt so... unattainable. He's Tahoe's best friend. He's Olivia's BOSS. Those things in and of themselves make him off limits. But it was more than that. It was Callan himself, his absolute refusal to commit, his blatant flirtation with the women coming at him from every direction that make him seem so wholly unavailable. And that's why this story was so damn addictive. There is NOTHING as addictive for a reader like me than wondering how the unattainable can be tamed, how a man so against relationships will end up in one. I could not wait to see that happen, see Callan be made vulnerable to the emotions he so staunchly avoids, see him become the devoted, loving, taken man that Saint and Tahoe became in their books. I really enjoyed this book but it's not without it's flaws. The first half of this book completely GRIPPED me. I was falling for Callan Carmichael as hard and as quickly as I fell for Remy Tate! And I loved how the story ended just as much, in a sweet, deliciously satisfying conclusion that I longed for the whole way through. But the story did feel like it lost a bit of its earlier momentum in the second half. The scenes began feeling a bit disjointed after the 50% mark or so, the steamy scenes were overly descriptive as compared to the other scenes that would've added depth to the story itself had they been a bit more fleshed out. But the whole package can be summed up as another sexy, steamy, unpredictable romance that kept me turning the pages. Katy Evans surprised me with this one. Olivia Roth came out of nowhere and stole the womanizer's heart, and along the way, the womanizer stole mine!

Womanizer is everything that a romance novel should be!! ♥♥
I literally *just* finished the last line of Womanizer, Katy Evan’s latest contemporary romance. Right now I am flying on an emotional high, soaring and practically levitating because of the power of Katy Evans’ words. After I finished Mr. President, I said to myself “there is no way that Ms. Evans can ever top this.” Now I sit here in awe of just how wrong that I was to ever doubt her in the first place, because Womanizer just punched me right in my chest and carved a very special place in my heart. Womanizer tells the story of Olivia Roth, a young woman who lands an internship at Carma Inc., one of the most prestigious, multi-billion dollar firms in Chicago after her brother calls in a favor to help her further her career. Fired up and motivated by her ambition to pave her own way in the business world, Olivia relocates to Chicago from Texas and prepares herself to acquire the skills that she will need to become a successful businesswoman. On her first day she meets a smoking-hot man on the terrace and they share a cigarette while they indulge in conversation. What Olivia does not realize is that her sexy as hell “hot smoker guy” is really the CEO of Carma Inc. and one of her brother’s best friends, Callan Carmichael. Callan is the “last man standing” in a trio of wealthy, powerful men who also happen to be best friends. He is determined to avoid traveling the road to commitment and his promiscuous ways land him the well-deserved title of “Womanizer.” In spite of their best intentions, Olivia and Callan’s connection is visceral, deep and instantaneous; the chemistry between them is truly something to behold. It is rare that an author is able to make you *feel* a palpable attraction between two characters, but you will truly feel the burn. “I’m the millionth woman in the universe who has found her flame and realized she’s just this tiny, fragile, little moth, helpless to fly away from it.” ~Olivia Trust me when I say that Callan Carmichael is every romance lover’s fantasy. He is dreamy, confident, and wealthy beyond belief with the kind of good looks and swagger that can make a woman literally shiver. The way that he wants Olivia just consumed me, overwhelmed me and had my heart galloping in my chest. “I want to make it clear that I have no shame when it comes to you. No rules I won’t break for you. Something about you gets to me like nothing ever has. I say the word woman, I think of you. Female, I think of you. Sexy, I think of you. Sweet, I think of you.” ~Callan The way that he walks, the sound of his voice, that dirty mouth of his….everything about him screams sex. But when he gets Olivia within the four walls of a bedroom…..all I can say is this: You will be owned and you will be ruined. And I think that I will leave it at that. 😉 I almost wanted to hate Olivia because I wanted a real life Callan for myself! It is so rare that an author can make you fall hard for a character, but hot damn Katy has that golden touch, an innate ability to make you fall in love with her characters through the strength of her talented writing. Womanizer is everything that a romance novel should be. It literally took my breath away, warming me like the rays of the sun. As I sit here writing this review and thinking about Olivia and Callan’s love story I am melting inside like a warm, gooey, freshly- baked chocolate lava cake. The last line of this book is a quintessential example of absolute perfection. Katy Evan’s Womanizer left a permanent impression on my soul and uplifted my spirit. Read it!!!!! If you don’t, you will be missing out on one of the hottest, most sensual and emotionally gratifying reads of 2016!! And that my friends is my final word. Overall: I refuse to give this book a number of stars. There are NO stars that are good enough for this book. Heat: I have no words for this amount of steamy goodness!!! 10 out of 5 searing flames! This is one of those books that will have you grabbing your partner and rocking until the cops come knocking!!! *I am not kidding*

HLB Reviews Womanizer
I loved this cover, so much so I bought the book without reading the blurb, well that and I knew I already liked Katy Evans. I'm really glad I ended up buying this book because I really did enjoy it. Normally I think the whole CEO thing is overplayed, but in this case I think it worked. Part of the reason why it worked was because our heroine, Olivia, has a family connection to our hero, Callan. It wasn't like she was some doe eyed girl straight off the bus or something, while they may have never met before they still had ties to each other, like Callan is Olivia's brothers best friend (another of my favorites things in books). Truth be told my least favorite part of the book was the beginning. Olivia came off as super naive in the first few chapters, not exactly unlikable, but a little on my nerves. Plus her older brother is like super over protective, which probably contributed to her naivety. But as soon as she started her job and met the hot guy on the roof she really came out of her shell, and suddenly I liked her a lot more. I know smoking is a terrible habit and all that jazz, but honestly sometimes a hot guy smoking a cigarette in the dark can be super hot, and Callan makes it super hot. I liked that he breaks his own rules. I liked the cute little interactions that Callan and Olivia have before they really know who each other actually are. Callan of course catches on a lot faster than Olivia, but he still continues down the path with her. Callan has a big time reputation as a womanizer (hence the title of the book) and even admits it to Olivia right at the beginning, but things are different with her. There really isn't a lot not to love about Callan, he's very successful, he's a good friend, a good boss, he's super hot, a hard worker, he's just everything I want in a book boyfriend. This book was such a fun read for me. Figuring out if they were going to take their dynamic between the sheets out into the real world. I loved seeing Callan encourage Olivia in her job, and I loved Olivia standing her ground about not wanting to be treated any different because of who her brother is or because she was fooling around with the big boss. I loved how hard they tried to keep things on the down low and there secret meetings on top of the terrace at night. There really wasn't anything I didn't like about this book. The one thing I know for sure after finishing this book is that I need to go back and read the other books in this series.

Steaming hot!
Wow wow wow! So I was worried that i wouldn't have enjoyed womanizer because I had such high hopes for it redeem it self from ladies man. Well Katy Evans you have more than redeem yourself in my eyes. You freaken surpass my expectations. I'm in so aw oh Callan you have no idea. This book was so many things. Hot, streamy, drama, sadness. It was honestly everything. And way beyond a 5 star rating! I am eager to hear about Wynn and Callan older brother cullen!

The cover does this book justice. He's SMOKING HOT!!
I have never DEVOURED a Katy Evans book as fast as I did with Womanizer. These aren't new characters to us, with them having been mentioned and "met" in the previous Manwhore series books but this can be read as a complete standalone without feeling lost in a story that's started already. Callan Carmichael is the last man standing. His best friends are now blissfully in relationships and he's not interested in being tied to anyone. Until Olivia Roth. She's his best friend's little sister. He didn't know this until it was too late. She didn't realise the hot smoking guy who appears to be a uniform rebelling mail room guy wasn't quite who she expected. What then began was sizzling. On the pages, between the sheets and everywhere they touched. ;) We weren't left wondering much due to Katy Evans' supreme writing skills. How book after book she can bring us something new, fresh and damn delectable I'll never know. But hell if I want her to stop! The sexual tension, the chemistry, the small amount of requisite angst and the swoon-worthy lust between these two was an absolute joy and pleasure to read. I have loved the characters in this series and Carmichael and Liv are of no exception. Phenomenal story!

lecture sympa
Une lecture très sympa dans la lignée de cette petite série. L'histoire n'a rien de très original mais elle se laisse lire sans encombres
