I'm not a chef by any means, but this product was nice. It was very sharp and comfortable to hold on to when cooking. The color is amazing. I bought two sets, I loved it so much. Customer service is nice and easy to work with. One set unfortunately did not have the Knives!! But a simple explanation email and they ended up refunding my money. Too bad it was sold out. I would have bought me another set.

I bought these knives about 4 months ago. Money was tight, and among all the other purchases I had to make, this one was great! A real conversation piece hanging in the kitchen. I read all the other reviews, and never put them in the dishwasher. I used the un-serrated chef's knive maybe 5 times a week, and the paint did start chipping off it. All of the other knives are fine (and really sharp!). I would make this purchase again, but I plan on investing in a really awesome chef's knife now that I have a basic setup.

I bought these for use when traveling with my "portable kitchen" when tailgating, among other uses. I wasn't sure how much I'd like them but after using them for a full month of daily prep, I can say they're great. A little big for my hands but they do a lovely job on anything from cheese to turkey, and my husband even commented positively on them after using. For the price, and for our intended purpose, the price point can't be beat. I'm still using an "original" Ginsu from 1995 purchased after an in-store demo....so I'm looking forward to years of wear on this set too.

These were very nice right at first, but now they just chip everywhere and the paint gets in the food you are cutting. I would have liked them so much more if it was just the green handles and plain steel blade. There was no reason to paint the blade. They are still sharp and the color was so pretty, but now they are ugly to look at with all the chips, and like I said who wants green paint in their food.

I bought this set for my niece who is getting her first apartment out of college. She LOVES it, and I did so, so I bought multiples as gifts. I love the fact that food doesn't stick to the knives, and they aren't fragile like colored ceramic knives. The board has a beautiful grain and a groove around the edge to catch juices as you slice. What a value too!

But Japanese knifes made in china that thru me off. they cut really nice thou. Handle is none slip so that's a plus

So far works good. Only had for a couple weeks. I wish it would have come in a different color
