Very good router to solve buffer bloat and video stuttering
I replaced a TP-Link Archer D7 with this because I was getting poor performance trying to stream video over a 10mbps DSL line. This is a re-branded TP-Link router (N600), but has Evenroute's firmware installed. This has proven to be much more stable and I am getting almost zero buffer bloat now, and haven't had further stuttering problems, other than when the WAN was congested one evening last week; no fault of the router or modem. The router also monitors and adjusts based upon connection conditions, which improves things further.Their tech support is very much above average. I had a problem with the new modem connecting to the DSLAM, and they quickly solved it, even though it was the ISP's equipment problem.Emails to tech support are answered promptly, which is always a pleasant surprise. I recommend this with no reservations.

UPDATE: April 5, 2017. Kudos to Evenroute.
April 5, 2017 UPDATE: I've upgraded my review back up to five-star for the seller, Evenroute. As noted below, the TP-Link modem quit working. I submitted a warranty claim with the manufacturer, TP-Link. In the interim, I used my original Frontier Communications modem paired with the IQRouter. After six weeks of getting the runaround from TP-Link support, they finally told me the TD-8616 modem was at "end of life" and "no longer available." I then filed a claim under the Amazon A to Z Guarantee asking for a replacement modem from the seller stock, or a refund for the cost of the modem, only. Almost immediately, I received an email from Evenroute apologizing for my problem with TP-Link and offering to send a replacement modem, or a refund for its cost. I replied that I only wanted a modem. Bottom line, three days from start to finish, I had a new modem. Great response from Evenroute. Zero stars for TP-Link.March 2, 2017 UPDATE: Please note I'm downgrading my original five-star rating for the combo package. The Evenroute IQRouter itself continues to provide relatively fast and reliable internet access, and if I were rating only the router, it would be five-star. However, the TP-Link modem that came with the package quit working about three weeks after I received and installed the equipment. When I submitted a return request thru Amazon, Evenroute advised the modem is a stock TP-Link modem and that I should contact the manufacturer directly to request a warranty replacement. I received a RMA number from TP-Link one day before my Amazon return window closed and proceeded to cancel my Amazon return request...big mistake!!It is now six weeks later and despite several promises that I would receive my replacement modem "soon," I still have not received it. I won't go into the details here, but suffice to say, if you have a problem with the modem or the router WITHIN the 30-day return window, return the entire package to Amazon for a refund or replacement. DO NOT attempt a warranty replacement through TP-Link unless you are past the Amazon return window and have no other choice.Luckily, I was able to plug in my original Frontier modem and connect it to the IQRouter to continue accessing my DSL service. A bit unorthodox, but it's working. My original review continues below.**************I finished replacing a Frontier Communication supplied Actiontec GT784WNV modem with this bundle a couple of days ago. Quick and easy hookup. As part of the installation process, a diagnostic test is run to test the incoming signal. My test showed a problem, and suggested some step by step diagnostic procedures to follow to determine the cause. After disconnecting the phone line, then the splitter, I ended up hooking the modem directly to incoming phone line.Leaving the phone disconnected, I ran the diagnostics again and all was clear. I allowed the modem to do its thing and when all the lights were on, I set up all our wireless devices. My wife and I were able to go online and navigate wirelessly with much less delay. I then installed an ethernet network cable from the IQrouter to a Netgear FS108 Ethernet switch using a Cat 6 flat cable (all available on Amazon) to create a LAN so we can connect our laptops to a wired network. Everything works great. I can open four browsers and check my email at the same time.After a day, I reinstalled the phone line and splitter to see if there were continued problems. With the phone and splitter hooked up, web page loading in Safari ground to a halt. I unplugged the phone line from the splitter and everything came back to normal. My next step is to move the phone (it's a wireless system with the base station right next to the modem) into the next room and try again. If that doesn't work, a call to Frontier support is next.Bottom line, easy installation, WiFi and Ethernet work great in tandem, and highly recommended. UPDATE 1-2-17: I moved the wireless phone base station to another room, ran a phone line to the spitter, plugged it in. WiFi and Ethernet internet connectivity works great. So, no call to Frontier Tech Support :-). I suspect the base station transmission signal was interfering somehow with the IQrouter.To you DIY installers, if you have a wireless phone station sitting next to the IQrouter (within two feet) and are having issues with the internet, move the phone base station at least six feet away, or ideally, into another room. Greatly Improved Internet Usability
I was very skeptical about this router/modem but the reality is the internet is much more usable than before. I had originally seen an ad on DSLReports.com where the Buffer Bloat was consistently getting a failing grade. After installing this solution, it now gets A's. Netflix now streams without stuttering. Latency has dropped dramatically. There have been some hardware issues that I have been working with their tech support on but they have been extremely supportive and I have no complaints.I will recommend this product to others in the community who are also having problems with their DSL.

Improved Internet but modem quit after 8 months.
I had extremely slow, almost dial up speed, Windstream internet that has never been upgraded. Usually, download speeds between .50 and 2.0. I received the IQrouter sooner than expected. I installed it in less than 15 minutes. I had to enter my Windstream login/password for the IQrouter site to obtain the Windstream credentials but it only took a minute or so. This is the third day of using this setup. I am very pleased with the outcome. This internet will never be fast but it is working so much better and does not just stop. I am glad I ordered it and am happy with the outcome.Update: Oct 2017 The modem quit working so I would not recommend.

if this is any indication how will perform in a week I am sure that it will be great.
It takes some time for it to learn, but within a couple of hours you can notice a big difference in the performance of streaming programs. They say it takes a week to fully optimize, if this is any indication how will perform in a week I am sure that it will be great.

Setup was easy using the instructions included with the unit and everything has worked just as advertised. My network has been stable from day one and has never needed to be rebooted. My ISP provided a new modem/router combo that worked for one day before it needed daily reboots..

I had an extremely poor connection as was being dropped constantly
I had an extremely poor connection as was being dropped constantly. After installing the IQrouter I instantly saw an increase in speed and stability and overall smoothness. Great product, highly recommend!
