Looks good. But cheaply made.
Pros:Arrived quickly and looked good. I like the style and the accessories it came with.Cons:The first thing I did was install the bridge and start to tune it. While tuning, the plastic cable holding the tailpiece pulled out. I had to re-install it. For good measure I crimped the little brass fitting that holds the cable to the tailpiece. That seems to have worked. After tuning I went to try playing it. I installed the battery and plugged in the headphones, but no sound came through at any volume. I tried again with a different pair of headphones and got the same result. Looks like the pickup or the circuit board is bad. Conclusion:Looks good but cheaply made. An electric violin with bad electronics is kinda useless. Hopefully I just got a rare bad one. Haven't decided if I will return it or try installing a new pickup set to see how it sounds when it works.
