Inspiring and Real
Surprisingly fresh and relatable, see Rich Froning's roots of family, rock-solid work ethic, and an indomitable drive to compete. This documentary not only shows Froning's climb to CrossFit gold, but his simple family life, as well. You'll see CrossFit Games directors, commentators, and athletes discuss Froning's pure, god-like talent. He's not human. He's a superhero. (One scene shows him train all day long with little regard to refueling his body with food or water!) It's also heartwarming to see Froning's road to fatherhood, discussions of adoption, a strong Christian faith, and a down-to-earth, loving wife. "Froning" provides the full picture of who the "Fittest Man in History" really is inside and outside the CrossFit arena.*Kid friendly and Christian-oriented, which is relief in a film like this. Even just the trailer for another similar documentary, "Every Second Counts: the Story of the 2008 CrossFit Games," has several F-words in it.

I wish I could get my $5 back
I thought this would be like the fittest documentaries, it’s NOT. I wanted to like Rich Froning, but he comes off as big of a douchebag as he looks. When he cried about not being able to climb a rope and then found Jesus, I was done. I couldn’t eye roll harder. He was gunna quit CrossFit because he couldn’t rope climb... that’s like a football player quitting football because he dropped a ball. Get over yourself. Fraser almost beat him doing bro workouts in his parents basement living of Potato chips, come on now.

Loved it!
I lift but am not a Crossfitter. I very much respected the sport prior to watching this and Rich Froning has solidified my respect for the sport and its competitors. Great & motivating story with an awesome family. Love that he shares his Christian faith and praying in Jesus' name was not edited out. This is great for the entire family even if you're not into Crossfit :)

If you're into CrossFit games or workouts, this is a must see.
What makes this worth watching is the portrayal of his level of fitness. It seems like he's a genuinely good guy with a nice family, but he's hardly a TV star or congenial screen presence. He's a focused athlete and impressive to watch. If you're into CrossFit games or workouts, this is a must see.

Great movie to inspire you to work harder.
Loved it, it was a great insight into this guys life and what makes him such a great athlete. I liked Rich Froning before, but now I love him, because we get to see a human side to him and just how much work it takes to become him. Wow amazing and inspiring.

Great and inspiring guy
It's the story of Rich Froning's life but I would have loved to see how Rich Froning trains as a Crossfit athlete, his daily routine, what he eats and maybe some memorable moments from his four Crossfit wins.

... fan and keep up with the athletes them you'll love this movie
If you're a Froning/Crossfit fan and keep up with the athletes them you'll love this movie. To someone unfamiliar with either this may not be your favorite movie/documentary. Its a cool look into the life of one of the greatest (arguably the greatest) fitness athletes of all time.
