The book was worth the wait!
“I’ve already taken everything you have to give. And now, I’m going to take a little more.”Mila Mikhailov was living in Miami under her father's protection. She was always sheltered and kept unaware of her father's buisness. A carefully laid out plan of her life was set up for her by her father but she decided to get away from that by getting to know more about her birthplace, Russia. What Mila didn't know though, that her father was a criminal and she unknowingly stumbles into the lair of her father's enemy. She meets Ronan, a seemingly attractive Russian man who offers to help her navigate her way in the city. But soon she discovers that Ronan was not who she thought he was.Ronan was blinded with the need of taking revenge from Mila's father (due to reasons that are explained in the book) so he decides to kidnap Mila for a trade in exchange for her father. What he didn't expect though was that Mila would start to grow on him.“Don’t lie to me.” “You’re the liar, not me.”“Moy kotyonok.” “I told you this city would eat you alive.” I just didn’t tell her I owned Moscow and everything in it.Ronan was Christian's brother (from The Maddest Obsession) and was involved in a gang that ruled Moscow. He was cold, cunning, hot, brooding, possessive and the definition of an alpha male. He had such an arrogant and infuriating personality with a tragic past that I could help but love. He was cold and unapproachable but when it came to his family, the soft side of him that came out made him redeemable. His eyes warned, Don’t play games you can’t win. Mine said, This isn’t a game. It’s hell. “I hate you.” He smiled. “Took you long enough.”Mila was a ray of sunshine. She had a soft heart and an unconditional love for animals, that made me like her instantly. She may be naive but she wasn't stupid. She knew exactly how to make Ronan bend to her will. She had a lot of strength and a backbone of steel. She was kept in the dark by her father about his "buisness" yet the way she handled the truth about it when that came out was admirable.“Do you know how they tame falcons?”I remained silent, staring sightlessly at the ceiling. He ran his lips down my throat. “They lock them away, cover their eyes, and hand-feed them.” “I’d rather starve.”I especially loved the parts where Gianna, Christian and their daughter Kat made an appearance. Gianna had matured as a mother yet she still had her vibrant personality and Christian would just do anything for his daughter. It was so adorable to see him whipped by for three year old! Kat was such a cute, adorable little girl. It was so good to read more about her relationship with her uncle, Ronan.I loved the part where Gianna & Mila interacted especially when Gianna says this⤵️“Just remember . . . you have a goddess inside you. You just have to find her.”Aside from that Ronan & Mila were fire together. The way Mila always had a witty comeback to the insults Ronan kept throwing at her was amusing. Mila had a lot more fight in her than I imagined.“You think someone’s going to save you?”“No one can save you from me. Not even God.”“You’ll get what’s coming to you, D’yavol. And when you do, I’ll smile when they cover you with dirt." “If I go down, I’ll take you with me.It was funny to see Ronan fighting his inner battle abot the emotions that were stirring up in his heart for his enemie's daughter. I especially loved the parts where he got jealous, that was hilarious. The chemistry and tension between Mila & Ronan was sorching hot and their banters were filled with sarcasm and humour."I wanted her to need me; to beg, live, and breathe just for me.The moonlight loved her. But not as much as my shadows.""He may not be a good man, but the world wasn’t black-and-white. He was all the gray in between."When Ronan finally decided that he couldn't let Mila go and that she more more than just a captive to him was beautiful. And I absolutely loved the last chapter! The ending was simple and satisfying.“Your Russian has gotten better.” “I’ve been studying.” “That’ll help,” “Why?” “Because you’re coming home with me.” I raised a brow. “As your captive?” “Kak moya zhena.” (As my wife)"I knew then I’d follow this man to the fiery gates of hell if he just held my hand."Overall the book was very enjoyable. I loved the romance, angst, tension thrown together with some suspense. Now, I'm excited for Danielle's upcoming books and she has insuated that there would be a book 4 in the Made series. I can't wait for that to come out ;-p

It is a good book and I love Danielle’s writing that is why i could finish this book. There were some moments that icked me but it was a good read. A one time good read for me. I still love the 1st book more than this one. I haven’t read 2nd and I think that is the best in the series so let’s see. Imma read that one next.

Good
Third book in the interconnected series has Russian devil and his redemption.Ronan and Mila took me by surprise because I wasn't expecting their story, so i think I was off kilter going into this book.Mila was really naive but i guess 20 year old sheltered girl is depicted fairly correct,The story wasn't dark but compared to other book in the series, it has much more mention of torture and violence even between MCs.

Utterly delicious dark romance
This is one of the best Danielle Lori books I have read so far. I was already in love with Christian story, but his brother's Ronan's is much more beautiful. The character sketch of Roman is pure chauvinist & humourous.A beautiful love story set on the edge of mafia rivalry, secrets and family feuds. However, the suspense of Mila's deceased mother was a little shallow, but otherwise a good read.
