The design of this small clock is wonderful. However, the hands appear WHITE in the photos. The color of the hands is not mentioned by the seller. The hands are actually a shiny SILVER color metal and unless the lighting is absolutely perfect one cannot see the SILVER hands, even nearby, as they fade into the black face. You'll have to move your head, or your lamp, or the clock, all around, until the light actually illuminates the SILVER metal hands if you want to see the time - So disappointed. Please make this with WHITE hands and I'll buy it again!

I was surprised this was a nice quality clock when I opened the box. Its aesthetically pleasing, and works very well. It does tick, (for those who hate that) but very quietly. I love it.
