California Design, 1930–1965: "Living in a Modern Way" (The MIT Press) Hardcover – September 16, 2011

Excellent book and great for research into mid-century modern design and the west coast modernism movement.

I went to the the exhibit and found it to be fascinating. To keep those wonderful memories I had to purchase the book, which has beautiful images and is well written. My favorite chapter in the book is about JOSEPH EICHLER and his homes!

The book is in good condition just as description. I've been looking for this book for a reasonable price for a while and absolutely love it.

Large indepth book. I was unable to make it to the exhibit in CA, but I'm glad I have this at least.

Cool and informative coffee table book

IEverybody who's interested in West Coast design must buy this book.

The exhibition at LACMA was great. This catalog is a great device to conjure up lucid images from the show.

Very excited to receive this book, it is well laid out, easy to read, spans a lot of topics and makes for an excellent reference book. I have no hesitation in recommending it. The illustrations are clear and numerous, enough for pouring over in detail and not only as historical documentation but as an inspiration in design. Well researched, and insightful. A splendid book that I am thrilled to have in my collection.
