The media could not be loaded.  So, I basically ordered this because it seemed like a real easy way to make my first batch of home made Kombucha Tea . It did come with everything I needed to make not only one batch but two. The instruction were tucked in the glass container , they were pretty clear instructions for the most part, though if you're like me and you've never attempted to make this tea before you might not know what to do with your scoby . I figured out that I just needed to store it in the solution in the fridge until my next batch. Now this comes with PH strips definitely want to use those during and after this process as it has insured good levels. One thing I really like about this kit is that it makes it over all pretty simple to make even the first batch. This kit is actually pretty unique . now the glass container does not come with a metal lid of any kind but rather a clothe lid and also a rubber band, I've stored it in a dark place as instructed. I think this kit is super great specially if you're a first timer or beginner but if you're a pro then it's also great because you have everything you need in this kit. so the quality I must say is pretty good. I really like how it comes with literally everything I need . it makes the process pretty well organizes too which is key if You want to make a good tasting batch. I love the benefits of Kombucha tea and I think this was a great way for me to start making my own. and not to mention that simple fact that this will save a lot of money because the tea is rather high in price at my local health food store. definitely a must have for me. and I can make this time and time again. after making two batches with this kit I can reorder some of the things I need and then I can just make more . Its vary easy after learning how with this kit. definitely happy that I ordered this. I"m pretty impressed. The only thing I would suggest improving mostly for the beginner is the wording of the instructions but....other than that this is a great kit. and high quality too.

I ordered two of these kits. Not sure it was the best value. I will say that I didn't catch the instructional video attached to one of the emails and thought I could just follow the instructional card included in the kit. It would have turned out much better had I seen the instructional video. The card was of very little assistance without the video. Luckily I had also purchased the Big Book of Kombucha that clarified everything. The kit came with two scoby, two packs of organic black tea, two packs of cane sugar, two packs of organic black tea, a gallon jar, small piece of cheese cloth and a rubber band and a thermometer. Except for the scoby, everything else can be purchased at your local grocery store. I bought four gallon jars from Filmore Containers for around $8.00. You can find cheese cloth at most any Dollar Store. Overall, I would prefer a more detailed instruction card. It's a nice concept for beginners. I am impressed with the follow-up emails and customer service with this company. I am sure if I had any questions, they would have happily responded. I tend to just jump into things and read instructions later. I give it four stars for the customer service aspect.

5 stars are not enough to rate this amazing product AND the superb costumer service!Starting with when I just ordered my Kombucha kit I got a lovely email from the company owner to thank me for the purchase and to make sure Im happy with their product once I get it. I though that was a nice personal touch and showed how Stacy cares not only about her business but mostly her costumers. When I received the product there was a little issue with the packaging so I contacted the company right away, explained the problem and told them that it was a birthday gift for a friend for the next day so if I re-order it I wouldn't get it on time for the party. Within minutes (yes, minutes) the owner wrote me back apologizing for the inconvenience and put a new order on for me and shipped it over night to try for me to get it on time. I was SO HAPPY when I got it next day perfectly on time for the party.I made the kombucha with my friend and it was simple to follow the instructions, much easier than other brands I have tried before. I'll post the results once is ready, good quality ingredients too so no doubt it will come out good.Needless to say, I will recommend this product to a friend and if you are reading this review do not hesitate to order any product from this company, you will not be disappointed.

My only complaint is that I didn't realize that the kit was for 2 batches, so when I brewed the tea, I put both packages of tea in the tea bag. I realized when it said 1 cup of sugar (1 package), that I should have only added 1 package of tea. The directions should say to use 1 package of tea and 1 package of sugar, and to save the others for your next batch. I also wasn't sure if I should add the liquid from the SCOBY or not... it didn't say, however it did say to add white vinegar (didn't say how much). I guessed, and did add the liquid since it smelled like vinegar. I hope it turns out! All of that being said, I love the concept and the ease of having everything you need in one kit, and I have received some very nice emails from the company, so they obviously care and want you to have success with your kombucha. I would definitely recommend this product, just be aware that it is for 2 batches, and do some research on how to make Kombucha in case you have trouble with the instructions.
