We first invested in the adhesive magnetic mount, which is great but adhesives aren't necessarily long term when the materials in your car are rubberized or textured plastic. THIS is a great alternative. Not only does it work great for us, you can utilize it in any vent. My bf used one mount on the middle vent for iPhone maps. I usually placed my phone in the cup holder, but now I use the secondary mount on the passenger vent for convenience. Our phone cases from Luuvitt and Caseology, which are a two piece bumper and housing case, work well with the metal plates and has a solid magnetic hold. I collaborated this mount with the metal ring from Cyrift on amazon.I definitely recommend this mount!

Great price for the product! I will mention that I use both clips because I have two different phone cases I alternate with. I have a iPhone 7 Plus and occasionally use an "otter box" like case which the rotatable clip cannot hold at all. I think that the magnet on that clip is not strong enough, however, the non-adjustable clip held it just fine. The rotatable clip is able to hold my thinner case with ease. I would mention that if you have slanted air vents like me that your phone may sit slightly upward if that is a bother. Otherwise great product and my phone does not move an inch while driving, even over road bumps.

I have boost zte elite phone with a heavy duty case on it so there is a bit of a gap between the magnets. I tried putting it on my driver side air vent but the phone was too heavy and too horizontal so it just slided down. I moved it to the center console air vent and there is more of a elevation so the phone is able to be stationary. So if you have a big and heavy phone, try a elevation area. The other magnet haves a clip option and a swivel arm so that's a plus.

I thought this would be so great since I drive for a living ,but this is not worth your money, even though it only cost me $10. The metal piece you have to put on your phone so that it will stick to the holder its on there permanently,I tried to get it off but its a no go. And no matter where you place the mount the phone keeps falling off ,which is worthless because I depend on my GPS and I cant pull over while on the freeway. I wanted to return it , but because of the metal piece attached to my phone permanently I cant!!!!I never been so disappointed by a purchase I made on Amazon.

It is an easy to set up item to use. However, it doesn't work with my protective case. I must attach the metal plate directly to the back of my phone and it is inconvenient. I have to remove the Otter box cover each time I want to mount it. Maybe a stronger magnet would work.

This was a gift for my daughter-in law. It wasn't until a month after Christmas that she told me it didn't work. The metal plate had ONLY one tiny dot of sticky glue to affix the plate to her phone. Obviously, every time she turned, or started up from a stop, the phone fell to the floor. Yikes!

I used these for iPhone 6plus and because of the heavier weight of the phone, it falls off the magnet when going over dump.iphone 6 was okay.I now added two magnet holders and two metal plates on iphone 6 plus and it's working well so far.

I love it. And everyone who gets in my car love how I simply just stick my phone ion the dashboard without looking or getting distracted and every single one of them asks me where I bought them from. Best ever
