Blue, Fine Tip Generic Refills Compatible with Livescribe 3, Symphony or LivePen. Smooth-Writing Premium German Ink

I didn't like my Livescribe pen at first. It felt clunky. Turns out the ink was largely to blame. The black medium point that came with the pen dragged and fit too loosely in the pen. In addition, it managed to stop working temporarily at the most inopportune moments. I am much happier now with these fine point refills. They write smoothly and stay in place in the pen. I will definitely be ordering another set of these in fine point black. I wish I could use roller ball refills (I'm not a ballpoint fan so medium is not for me) but I use my Livescribe for everything now, even when I am switching back and forth between Livescribe and regular paper.

excellent mileage - worked perfectly for many many pages, loved the fine tip, improved accuracy in handwriting recognition (to text conversion). Perfect alternate to the not-so-effective livescribe 3 company provided options.

Although the generic refills are not perfect, they are much better than the Livescribe variety. If the Livescribe ink worked better, I might have given these generics a lower star rating, but on a comparable scale, they are a significant improvement.Lifespan - The Livescribe inks were very light and only lasted five or six pages before I had to replace them. In contrast, I have been using the same generic ink for about 20 pages now and it shows no sign of running out of ink.Smoothness of writing - At first, the generic ink skipped a lot (I saw a similar review from someone on the black ink version). I am not sure why it did this and what might have changed to fix it, but after about 5 pages the inkflow improved. The writing is now very smooth and the ink is nice and dark.Compatibility with Livescribe 3 - I had some problems with other refills (Zebra, Pilot, Monteverde) when it came to recording my writing in the Livescribe app. All of the writing was joined into one big scribble. I was impressed that these generic refills do not have that same problem and the writing is nice and clear in the Livescribe app.Overall, these refills are the best that I have found so far to work with the Livescribe 3 pen.

This seller rocks. The original item (through no fault of his own) didn't fit right so I started the refund process. A day after I mailed back the item, I received a replacement from him that worked perfect. I had already processed the refund so I told him I'd send him the money. He said it's cool and I don't need to worry about sending the money and that he'd rather have a happy customer than worry about a single item. He's gained a customer for life.

Ordered one batch to use with my Livescribe 3 pen and journals. Each of the five pens started skipping within 1/2 page. Returned and then received a nice email from the president of the company saying they were sorry I had problems and that he sent another batch for free. Once the refills arrived I started using one. It wrote fine for a page and a half, then started skipping. I went to the top of the next page and again the cartridge worked perfectly, until the last half of the next page. I used the refill on regular paper and it had no problems at all. There are probably some problems with the journal pages, but using Cross mini refills (8518-4 / 8518-6)  Cross Mini Ball-Point Refills, Black, 12 Refills  I was able to write page after page with no problems. I also tried the Monteverde (D132BU) refills after the original Generic Refills and they went page after page with almost no problems. Interestingly, when I tried the new Generic Refill and then switched to the Monteverde when the Generic starting skipping, the Monteverde also exhibited some problems in the same area. The Cross wrote through those areas without any problem.The Generic Refills may be fine on other Livescribe papers, my experience is only with the bound journal.I do commend Generic Refills for their fine customer service and caring attitude, unfortunately I can't recommend the cartridges for use with the bound journals.
