Well worth the high price! I have a concrete pool and had black algae get into the pores of the concrete one summer. That was the hardest stuff to scrub away. For years, I wasted so much money balancing my pool which meant dumping in chlorine and more chlorine, and the prices went sky high...and no matter how much I added, a few days later the chlorine was gone and the pool was not as blue. Algaecide, phosphate remover, cya, drain the pool etc etc. Pool company after pool company telling me my pool was just in the Sun all day. Finally, I was done with it. Why spend thousands to have a meh pool. I heard about Pool Rx as either a miracle or a scam. I was already so far in, I figured whats another $75... So I ordered a Taylor Kit, I bought my own chemicals, and put one of these in when I start up the pool. No more problems. The pool is blue all season and I dont spend thousands...
