Everything about this is perfect
Works as intended and very easy to use. Actually I needed this for my retro Windows 98 computer; this enabled me to use this ancient computer that only has a VGA port onto a modern HDMI computer screen. So it's cool and yes it works fine.

Use TV as a large computer monitor
Installed between my Dell Computer and Vizio TV. Now I can use the TV as a monitor. I had a VGA extension cable with the 3MM audio cable and the sound was terrible and had to leave the sound off on the TV. Now I can watch and listen to the computer and use the TV volume control. Best thing it comes with all of the cables you need to hook up and it's powered by the USB of the computer.

Turned an old Dell PC into a NAS plugged in to a modern monitor with this flawless active adapter
This product works as advertised. I built a NAS out of an old Dell PC that only had a VGA out after I took out the video card to reduce power consumption. I needed an active adapter like this one to set up my system using my HDMI and DisplayPort only monitor. Note that a passive adapter won't work. VGA is an analog standard and needs to be converted to digital. This adapter requires that the adapter is plugged into USB for power. Other than that it's plug and play. Worked great.

does not support 1080P
VGA cable connected to monitor does 1920x1080, this adapter's highest resolution was 1600 x 1200. had to Go back to the VGA direct to monitor.

Solves the VGA to HDMI problem!
Connects my older laptop to the TV for watching streaming video. I have a 10+ year old small laptop that still works just fine to play streaming video and when I want to see it on the TV that no longer has a VGA input, this works perfectly!

Fuzzy Picture
I purchased this because my TV didn't have the correct connection for a new computer I purchased. The screen was fuzzy the whole time. 2 months later I finally broke down and purchase a new TV where didn't need this. Picture is perfect.
