Good To Have For Clean Edges On Poured Epoxy
I’ve got a couple of poured epoxy projects and got this non-stick tape for clean edges. It works well and does the job. It stuck to the painted wood edges of the tops I was pouring the epoxy onto, and yet, peeled away cleanly once the resin had set.Works well!

Works great for poured resin release (see details). Recommended
I was watching Xyla Foxlin do amazing composites work on her channel, and I remembered the fiberglass, Kevlar, and carbon fiber layup that I used to do. Full of inspiration, I decided that I would use one of those countertop resin kits and frame out my existing countertop. However, I didn't want to remove it, and instead wanted to pour it in place. I made a frame for the bottom and outer perimeter. That's where the Incredible Solutions Epoxy Release Tape comes in!The tape was perfect for the bottom and inner perimeter of my outer pour frame. As advertised, the epoxy released without issue, leaving an outer surface that was glassy and almost perfect. The only issue is that you get less than 10 feet for $15. I guess that's the price you pay for a specialty product. Recommended

Melts Under High Heat
The tape melts and crinkles in onto itself when exposed to heat, I had a torch near it to pop bubble in the resin when the tape started to melt. The adhesion of the tape is alright but not super adhesive. Everything else about the tape is fine.

DOES leave residue
VERY sticky, so difficult to apply & take off. UV resistant & compatible with epoxy resin, but LEAVES RESIDUE! Won't buy this again for that reason alone

Works great
Works great, I had to use 2 strips to cover the bottom of the mold I tried this on, bust still works out didn't leak or anything and I just set the mold holder on it didn't move the excess up the side of it.

Works well, pricey. Does not like flame.
Epoxy resin does not stick to this stuff, and as long as it's applied correctly it's also glass smooth. I typically use duct tape because it's cheap and also works well - but the finished product winds up textured and wrinkles show up. For really clean edges and sides, this stuff is incredible. It has a really strong adhesive. You could use it to cover the sides and bottom of multi-part molds that are reused. For single use, disposable work it gets expensive fast.

Leaves nasty residue
I'm using this tape to prevent epoxy layups from sticking to substrate. It allows the epoxy to release but I didn't know how bad the residue would be. The residue is blue in color and can be removed with a solvent. Because the residue is so bad, i may try another release tape because the next layup is over something sensitive and expensive.

Ok so far
So far I have only use this to tape both sections of wood boards. On one of them it barely spilled over underneath and the other one had a little more bleeding into the wood underneath. I do plan on using this as I put another layer of resin, a very thin layer of resin on top of a couple pieces of artwork. So I’ll find out if it holds its shape to see if it spills over somehow. As of now it’s just OK but once I do more projects I’ll be able to give a better review on what you can and cannot use it for.
