This pot is great for orchids! I love the double wall feature which makes watering easy. The holes on the inner pot are large enough to allow airflow but not so big that moss or potting mix spills through. I appreciate that the pot comes with a water dish too. This might seem expensive for a plastic pot, but it’s definitely worth it.

This is a well made flower pot. Especially good for potting orchids. Has saucer for table sitting and gives good drainage. A little more $ than I wanted to pay for one pot, but good quality.

I like that it drains well, but not sure it's true air pruning.So to start with the easy stuff, the inside dimensions & construction. There are three parts to this pot: the solid outer pot (which fits like a glove); the inner slotted basket; and the very handy fitted saucer. The inside diameter of the slotted basket at the top is 7.75" and the inside diameter at the bottom is 6.75". The inside height from bottom to soil level is 5.5".To take the inside slotted basket out, you need to twist to the left and lift. To insert and lock it back to the outside pot twist to the right ... insert and twist to the right. Very simple and easy to do. Although can be more difficult if soil is trapped between the basket and solid pot.The bottom feet are 1" in height assuring that your plant roots will never sit in water.The construction is excellent and you can get many years' use out of it I am sure.The drainage is also excellent since there are so many places for the water to come out of and unlike other slotted pots since it has a fitted outer solid shell all the water drainage is directed towards the bottom. If you are afraid of losing soil, water it while assembled. But you can use a shower/rainfall head on your watering can and no soil will escape from the basked portion. I like to water it in the sink without the outer shell on to give the plant a chance to drain fully.I also like that it is white in color so that when you do place the pot outside the roots don't get too hot. An issue when living in Las Vegas, NV where it can get 110F during the summer.Overall the roots are protected and insulated and you can maintain humidity without overwatering.Now the bad. There is no space between the basket slots and the solid outer pot, so not sure that air pruning would actually be possible. If you never separate the pots and just use it assembled, overwatering is very easily done. Again, because the sides are never truly exposed to the outside air. Granted sitting in water will never happen, but he soil (if soil is used) can easily stay wet longer than desired.Also, removing the plant from the basket is challenging because of all the slots. Not only does the soil get stuck in them, but potentially new root growth as well. This means taking the plant out to either repot or prune, involves harming the roots. In a regular nursery pot, it simply slides out (although chances of root-bound spirals increase). In a true air pruning pot, the wall is removable so the roots are not disturbed at all.In short, if you buy this pot buy it for the looks and solid construction rather than air-pruning benefits or drainage.

Looks more like a small vegetable colunder which is what I will end up using it for in the garden this summer. I was taking care of a family member and missed the deadline to send it back.

This pot is as described, but I should have paid more attention to the description. All care instructions for orchids tell you that they like their roots to be relatively root bound and this pot is just too big for any orchid I've ever met.Also, the inner basket it not clear so you can't see how the roots are doing. Again, not a surprise - it was mentioned in reviews I read - but it IS a problem with orchids (I've since educated myself more before transplanting to this pot).I'd thrown away the packaging and although I could have used this for another plant and bought a better pot for my orchid, I decided to give it a go. One reviewer described using the pot for more than one orchid due to its size so I bought a new plant (one in bloom as my older one is not) and am giving that a try, but still the roots will not be crowded due to the size of the pot.I should have done more research BEFORE buying this pot and should have measured to know how much larger this pot is than the prior one. There was no deception in the description, I just didn't realize how much larger it was than my plant's former home.Hopefully, with the suggestions of other reviewers, my treasured original plant, 4 years old and given to me by my now-deceased husband ❤️, will learn to love its new home.And I will pay more attention in the future before clicking "buy now!"

It’s the first orchid I haven’t killed. This planter is very nice and easy to use.

Bought these to replant my orchids. Love the stacking feature of these as the slotted pot locks into the outer pot so it doesn't come apart when moving them. Looking forward to seeing my orchid bloom once it settles into its new space.

Pensé que le iba a quedar pequeña a mi orquídea, pero la verdad es que sí está amplia, también funciona super bien con la tipo "doble contenedor" que tiene, ya que uno filtración super bien el agua que le queda y el otro hace que no se esté tirando la tierra por todos lados, también la base está muy bien. Altamente recomendada

El tamaño me encantó, justo lo que buscaba.Mi orquídea creció feliz y además es super practico regarlas por la rejilla que trae.Luce muy bonita en la mesa!
