Splat Mat by Honeyed- Crosses- Modern Design Large Non-Toxic High Chair Floor Splash Mat

I’ve had this product a month. It is used under my sons lobster chair for dinner only. I generally pick it up, dump contents in the sink and spray down the plastic side.I noticed some rolling a few weeks in. By now it just curls up to half size and is impossible to unroll. I’ve resorted to giving it a good scrub and ducktaping it to the floor. I expected more from a high end mat.Note: I did eventually put it in the machine (my fault!), but it did curl long before that due to sink cleanings. I think this product would work GREAT for anyone looking to simply wipe down, but understand the great value in throwing a splat mat in the machine if it will be used for food or paint. If you need something heavy duty that will only get the occasional easy to remove substance on it, this one is fantastic. Maybe like a giant changing pad? If it’s for baby’s regular splats, get something machine washable.

I had heard various ideas for helping contain messes under the high chair— like using a shower curtain— but they didn't seem worth the hassle of having an eyesore in our dining area that would need to be put away for guests. Why not just clean the floor? When I heard about this product I was much more into the idea. It lays flat, is appropriately sized, wipes down easily as promised (plus you can just pick it up and shake it out outside if there are crumbs!), and looks neutral enough that I feel ok leaving it in my dining space full-time. It is also a nice layer of protection for floors that you might be worried about damaging.

This worked fine as a mat, until we washed it. Once the backside got wet (the underneath fabric side), it curled up and wouldn't unroll. We have a toddler and a dog, so regular cleaning was a necessity. The top is waterproof and stain resistant, but once it curled up it was useless. We had to replace it and throw this one away. Bought a Bumpkins Splat Mat instead, which we like much better.

My home is all glossy white tile, and I thought the mess of baby led weaning was going to be the death of me. Thankfully I can across this product; the dimensions are perfect for catching the rogue pieces of food and the material is super "wipe-able". I hate the usual prints/primary colors of baby products so this print makes me happy and still keeps my kitchen looking sleek. Thanks for a great product.

I used it for my baby since she constantly plays with her food. The mat catches most of the things she throws. However, it is not very easy for me to clean the surface on daily basis because of the anti-slippery surface. I guess if it is dry food it would be much easily to clean up although our feed has to include Congee, oatmeals.

Love this splash mat - easy to clean (I throw it in the shower, rinse it off, then hang it in the tub to dry) and it's great to have the case as well.

Product is great until you need to clean it. It folds over and is really poorly made. I am returning this product and super sad about it because it's a very cute design.

Seems like it may fall apart when washed but works well. We put it under the Christmas tree this year to prevent sap and water on the wood floors. Worked great.
