I bought a small package of these to try. They worked better than my favorite 60 grit hook and loop when stripping an old dresser. The dust collection was also better. They also held up longer without clogging up. They will be my go to after my old supply of discs are used up.

Don't waste your money on other brands. The 3M hook and loop discs hold onto the sander's pad surface better than any others I have tried. They also work in a fraction of the sanding time of other discs, and with much better results.

I'm completely converted. Cheap sanding discs aren't worth the time or money, which you'll realize after using these. They still wear out, but they last much longer, and the dust extraction is fantastic, if you have a vacuum hooked up to your sander.

UPDATE - I reordered the same product by mistake. I thought I had ordered a 120-grit last time. Come to find out, it was 80 grit like I ordered this time. The new box has twice as much abrasive on each pad as the last box did. After sanding four new cabinet doors inside and out. It shows virtually no signs of wear, just the slightest bit of deterioration. It is less than 10% worn. This 50-pack box will be a multi-year supply for me. I'm still only giving it 4 stars because the first box was worthless and I had to return it. I guess maybe it was a quality control issue. If what you get wears out quickly, return it, and the next box may be a lot better. I sanded the horizontal surfaces of a small child's picnic table for less than 5 minutes. The table had been previously stained and sealed. I was only removing some flaking finish and smoothing it with 80-grit, to reapply more sealing stain. The center of the sanding pad had the abrasive material completely worn away, as shown in the photo. Possibly it's just the design of the sanding mesh, that you can easily see the grit, which caused me to notice this. I have never noticed this problem with my sander before, using regular sandpaper or other mesh discs I've previously used. The pad's ability to sand seemed less aggressive than that of normal 80-grit paper. And the durability is definitely not what I expected. I will say standing down the old finish with this disc did not cause any pigtails to show up in the new finish.

Was concerned at first when I saw how little of the surface actually sands, but the gaps in that herringbone pattern work miracles. Really helps extract the dust so it doesn’t clog and heat up. Also this thing stays sharp for an insanely long time. Was able to get through flattening both sides of a 2ft x 5 ft panel glue up with just one disc and when I touched it the thing felt basically just as sharp as the unused cheaper brand disc I used for comparison. After that long I’d usually have to swap to at least a second or third to get it fully flat- definitely not going back after that. That really helps justify any up front cost since it’s so durable it’s well worth it in the long run.

Best sandpaper ever! I’ve been using this 3M Xtract sandpaper for several years now. I wouldn’t use anything else and I’ve used a lot of it.

Even though they work much cleaner , they don't last as long as other disks

Excelente producto algo caro pero la malla hace que no se tape funciona excelente en cuanto a que dure más que uno normal no estoy seguro pero el polvo no tapa la lija así que bastante efectivo

Este producto salió muy malo se acaban rápido se le cae el grano y se tapan,las compré muy caros pensando que saldrían buenas pero fue dinero perdido.Mi consejo es que no lo compren,además no se adieren bien a la lijadora.
