Not the best design for the 3/4" knockouts
They really ough to make a metal version with this same x4 outlet layout, the current 4 gang metal they sell has 2 gangs that are low volt open back. This plastic recessed 4 gang isn't very sturdy, it's brittle. So drilling out the 1/2" knockouts to 3/4" , so that it's 3/4" in per slot, is a no go without risking to crack the whole thing. See the problem is each knock out size is directly over each other. 3/4 down 3/4 up and 1/2 down 1/2 up alternating gang slots. If you're using 3/4 connects and using heavy duty outlets like shown in my pic... the top or bottom edge of the back of the outlet will touch the 3/4 connect lock nut. Making every other gang be a royal pain in the you know what to make fit. So if you're adding four 20 amp to 30 amp or higher circuits... I would buy two of the 2 gang recessed metal box they sell instead. This thing is nice, just not very stable or practical for anything above 15 amps a per slot. If you are doing 15 amp circuits and only using the 1/2" knockouts, then this could be for you. I'd say that would be it's perfect use case. Good luck!

Outlet and cable management for behind TV Console
I wanted to route the cables for my wall mounted TV through the wall and also install more hardwired outlets rather than using an extension cord. I looked at many options. Most were overpriced and I would have to buy 2 separate boxes to accomplish my goal. This box fit the bill. You can easily hook up 3 outlets and a little plastic divider lets you separate electrical from HDMI cables. I ran electrical cable up through the wall and installed an outlet behind the TV as well. One major plus was that it sits recessed into the wall and I can push the TV console closer to the wall now.As all electrical - it's fun but tedious to install. But once it's in - it does exactly what you'd want

Great old work box, worth the $$
So worth the money!! Girlfriend wanted tv over the fireplace, and of course did not want ANY wires showing so off I set to mount television. Mind you there are no outlets or cable or hdmi or anything of the sort up there. I used the four gang edition works well for lots of low voltage jacks and comes with a divider to separate high from low voltage connections for safety and code purposes. it has four old work wings that hold the box in from coming out and then a trim ring with white finished screws to keep the box from pushing into the wall cavity. Our house has plaster, yes plaster not drywall, and there is a a plaster layer over the brick fireplace, so I was able to cut into the plaster and slide the work box in there. I definitely would use this box again and love it.

Recessed Outlet
I wanted to mounted my TV on my wall and have cleaner look by removing the extension cord and cable.I pull new electrical cable and TV cable up through the wall and installed an outlet behind the TV.The extension cord and cable sits recessed into the wall and I can push the TV console closer to the wall giving it that clean look.

Had to modify it but it was just what I needed.
This is a great box for adding in all the features you would need to your new HDTV. I ran ethernet, cable, VGA, and a number of HDMI inputs to it. The only problem I ran in to was that when my HDMI cables connect to the backside of the HDMI wall plate, they stick out a couple inches. There isn't a lot of room behind your wall plate so I hate to cut our the back side of this mounting box so the HDMI cables came straight into the box from the back rather than trying to push them through the knockouts and getting them to bend and connect. All other cable types were no problem at all. Also as a tip, make sure you cut the hole as tight as possible so that when you tighten down the self-tightening screws, they don't pull the box back through the wall.

Clean, sturdy, perfect!!
I bought 3 of these for my remodeling job of my living room (tv) wall. Easy and clean ,1 behind TV completely flush to wall and 2 behind bottom cabinets for my video game consuls!! These are truly amazing!!!

Great for TV and components
I used this box in existing wall to install two duplex outlets and two brush openings for HDMI, coax, and Cat 6 cables. The design is well thought out.
