Pastry/ Bread Maple Wood Board, 22" x 28"

Perfect for my D’ Oh Boy Pasta!

Beautifully crafted. We have always been home bakers. I bought the bigger version of this a few years ago. It was my treat to myself one year. I bought all the best waxes and oils to keep it in good condition. It stays on a countertop in a dedicated baking area in my kitchen. I keep it clean and dedicated to baking. Take care of it, and it stays beautiful. I wash it with a soft cloth with dish soap and water and rinse it well and dry it. When it need a good dose of the wax and oil, I give it the care it needs. I then bought this size for my eldest daughter, who also bakes a lot, as a gift, and she LOOOOOOVES it. (And I bought her the wax and oil and applicator sponge.)

This is a heavy, beautiful, solid chunk of wood! It is larger than most cutting boards out there. It’s terrific for rolling out large things, or laminating (wetting it down, throwing your dough out, and stretching the dough into a huge rectangle, then refolding it..this technique helps ciabatta and other breads to have more strength and rise higher with those large, gorgeous holes..). I live in a dry climate, and recommend oiling it thoroughly several times before the first use and regularly after. I’m so happy I bought this!

It fulfills all requirements of a pastry board. I use it for baking bread and rolling out pizza dough. What I liked immediately is the sheer size of the board a lot of real estate to work with.Another plus I was looking for are vertical edges (when board lies in kitchen counter). Who ever rolled out pizza dough and had to roll the dough and had to hold the board at the same time will appreciate the design you just secure the board with your hips when rolling dough, it goes nowhere. I would buy again. If use food grade mineral oil to protect the surface the board will look like new even after countless uses

My board came faster than I anticipated. It is crafted very well. Reading reviews I also bought food grade oil. Spent 2 days doing oil wipes. It doesn't have any grippers on bottom to keep from sliding but with a piece of non carpet slipping material voila easy fix. This is the only board I found with the biggest dimensions. I highly recommend this board.

This is a very durable, sturdy, maple wood board. I use it to make pasta and it reminds me of a larger version that my grandmother had. The stoppers at each end are great for holding it in place on the edge of the counter. It's very easy to clean and I use it regularly.

No indication of brand or manufacturer. The dowels that hold the edge boards on are crooked. Wood low grade too.

FINALLY! I have a bread board that is clean and hygienic - and just plain wonderful. Perfect for kneading bread, rolling out pastry and cookie dough. Just love it.
