I'd read through the reviews carefully and decided to try these even though there were a handful of reviews where people said they had to go the ENT or emergency room because these got stuck in their ears. Well, I should have listened to them! I nearly became one of them! To be safe, I decided to try inserting and removing the plugs at least once before using them overnight. All I did was insert one of the plugs into my right ear, making sure the tab on the outside was still easily accessible. Well, THE PAIN FROM TRYING TO PULL IT OUT WAS EXCRUCIATING. It was stuck, even though I hadn't even pushed it in that far. Simply pulling the tab on the outside didn't work, I had to push on the back of my ear to try to break the seal. The plug kept wanting to go further into my ear instead of coming out of it. Still, I kept pushing on my ear and pulling on the plug, and despite excruciating pain, was eventually able to get it out. Half an hour later, my ear is still sore and I'm worried I may have damaged my eardrum. So yeah, don't try these! You've got a good chance of ending up in the ER!
