Don't waste your money! Not a fan of these fans!
These fans are junk! If there was a "NO STAR RATING" I would give them that. I replaced the noisy cooling fans that came on my Oceanic 29 Biocube with these fans thinking they would be quieter. They were so noisy,we could hardly stay in the same room with them. They were also very ineffective in extracting the hot air from the lighting. So, the tank water stayed overheated! What is the primary mission of "cooling" fans?I should have returned the fans and I am sure Amazon would have taken them back for a full refund, but the trouble involved getting them installed and then uninstalling them caused me to rethink the salt water aquarium hobby thing. I decided to just get rid of the aquarium tank...fans and all! Oceanic is now out of business (bought out by someone) and I can understand why.

Good Replacement for Stock Fans
These fit perfectly into the Biocube hood, but they were just as loud as the stock fans. I wasn't looking for them to be any quieter since I was just replacing fans that blew out, but it would have been a nice bonus if the noise level went down.

Better than original fans
Kind of a pain to install, but definitely better quality than fans supplied with the aquarium lid. Those fans have an epidemic early failue rate. These replacements seem more robust.

LOUD fan
I'm not sure if we got a slightly defective one or if it's just the way these roll but once I installed the fan it was louder than any computer case fan I've used which isn't the best for a peaceful aquarium. Will likely mod in a computer fan instead to avoid the loud buzzing noise.

They are a bit noiser that I would like. I hate that reviews have to be a certain length. So I will just add filler.

Quiet and Effective
My Bio Cube 29 requires a fan change about once a year (you will hear them making a scraping noise when they need to be changed). It has been great to find these on Amazon as most of your local fish stores do not carry them (although they will special order them for you in certain places). They fit perfectly and are quiet.

Great Product (but may need to buy a pair)
Great replacement product for 29 Gallon Nano. This is only for (1) fan part, check your top canopy because it usually takes (2) or pair of fans. Both of mine were out, so had to order ANOTHER one. It would have been easier to order BOTH at the same time. Overall, easy to install and replace.
