I have no problem with the silver earrings in this set. Unfortunately, the gold-over-silver must have nickel in it, because they irritated the heck out of my ears. I tried using anti-itch cortisone cream, anti-histamine cream, then finally tea tree oil, thinking they had gotten infected somehow. This went on for three days. Ugh.When I gave up and took out the gold-over-silver earrings, and just put in the silver earrings, my ears stopped being red and itchy. So it's clearly whatever is in the alloy used in the gold-over-silver, or whatever is used in the electroplating process. I already knew I had a nickel allergy; I can only buy non-nickel sterling jewelry.The function of the earrings, though, is fine. I like that they are hinged. They never come apart when I'm brushing my hair, even if I catch the brush on one of the earrings.The hinges stay shut because they're toothed. Despite them being hinged, the hinge is not big or bulky; it's about the same width as the hoop itself. So you can turn the entire thing all the way through your ear hole and not notice it.Next time, I will just buy the silver earrings and not the gold-over-silver. Normally I wouldn't have bothered with the gold-over-silver pair. But the per-earring price for this pair was cheaper than a single extra set of hinged silver earrings. I only needed one more pair of silver earrings to complete my hoops (I already bought a set of 2 pairs of silver-only hinged hoops, and I needed 6 total), so I thought I'd go for it.Not being able to wear the gold-over-silver pair, though, makes them just as expensive (in terms of the money I wasted on a pair I can't wear because I'm allergic to them) as the single pair I passed up. :-\

These are the best daily earrings ever! I can sleep in these without the post digging into my neck. They are much easier to put on than the continuous rings that you have to try to work the post into a hole from behind your ear. They also are truly continuous. I had infections constantly before I got these. After a week of wearing them and putting some ointment on the loop, then pulling it around to coat the inside, they healed up. I have not had any infections since, even when I wear different earrings during the day. They are also very simple, but stylish. The hoops are small enough that my baby was not tempted to pull on them (one hazard of having kids and loving hoop earrings). You could easily dress them up with some small beads or lightweight charms. These are a great pair of earrings for kids as well. No lost backs or uncomfortable posts. They close pretty snug, so they do not come open randomly. The small post on these is pointed rather than straight like most posts, so be gentle when inserting them.

These earrings are well made, continuous hoops. Once closed they have no beginning or end until you open them again. I have had a long-pierced ear which hasn't wanted to behave since I began trying to wear earrings again. I needed to find an earring which could stay on for weeks until that piercing healed completely. I just cannot sleep in posts and every hoop I tried is too flimsy--they do NOT make them like they used to! Then I found these hoops. I put the pair in my ears and there they have stayed! I live, sleep, and bathe in them. Because of the way they are 'endless' it is easy for me to turn it a few times a day as my troublesome piercing is healing. I highly recommend these earrings for quality and for their sweet and simple style.

I actually love these. They're exactly what I've been looking for, as I have 8 holes in my ears. The only reason I'm taking away a star is because when I recieved them, I found that they are actually a gauge larger than your typical earrings. So in order to wear them I actually had to take a size 18 gauging needle to each hole. If it does specify anywhere that these are 18g, it wasn't anywhere highly visible.

Nice sets of hooped earrings. They are very pretty and petite! I only gave these a 4 star, because they only fit in one set of my piercings. The gauge of the hoops are larger than expected. Otherwise they are perfect.

Great Seller. Nice looking earrings. Love the way they close. I think this design is one of the best type of closures in a hoop earring. Easy to get on and off. Comfortable enough to sleep in. No allergic reaction. This is the perfect size hoop for my piercing that is on top side of my ear. Will buy again :)

They look great and have held up very well. The hinge makes them easy to put on and take off. For the price not bad at all!

I have very tiny holes in my ears and these glided right through. The clasping mechanism is very sturdy and even my large fingers were able to line things up and get them closed with a minimum of my time and energy.I would definitely recommend these earrings for anyone wanting a little something comfy to sleep in and as well as earrings to keep holes from closing over time.
