Classic Country: 1960-1964 The beginning of the 1960s witnessed a tremendous growth of country music. Enjoy Marty Robbins's #1 hit El Paso, the Everly Brothers' gold record Cathy's Clown, Skeeter Davis's poignant pop hit The End Of The World, and more!

good
A very good collection from the era. If you have iTunes be careful as it lists track 13 of disc 1 as "Understand Your Man" by Johnny Cash rather than his better and better-known "Ring of Fire." The cd itself, the back cover of the case, and the actual content of my copy is "Ring of Fire" so I had to edit iTunes.

Hits from the days of real Country & Western music
My father has always preferred "real" C&W to modern Country. These albums are to him what Classic Rock is to my generation; the songs from his younger days.I tried ordering from Time-Life's site. The accepted the order & payment, then notified me that the CD's were on back-order with an unknown delivery date.I should have just checked Amazon first.

This is a great continuation of Classic Country 1950-59
This is a great continuation of Classic Country 1950-59. This CD is all classic country. After 1964, country music seemed to disappear for a while, only to be reborn around 1989.

WONDERFUL GOLDEN AGE COUNTRY SONGS
A super selection of country songs from decades past, when the various melodies could be whistled and the words to the songs could be clearly understood. A bargain for the classic country of the early 60's. Don't pass this one up!

Grandma's Favorites
I use to hear theses songs when I would visit my Grandmother. She is senile now and may not remember me, but she sure remembers her music. Love to see the smile it puts on her face.
