[UPDATED - 3 stars removed because it came apart after 3 weeks] Was great replacement for a shattered screen.
[UPDATE: After less than three weeks the glass started to pop out of the phone because the adhesive holding it to the frame had failed. I had some adhesive strips left over from iPad repairs so after cutting them to shape and clamping the whole thing for an hour it seems to be solid again. In all of the repairs I've done I've never seen a screen come apart this way so maybe this was a one-off but I'm hesitant to order this part again. I'll leave the original review here since the tips are still valid no matter where you buy your parts.]This piece fits, looks and feels like OEM. Side-by-side you can tell it's a hair thicker but once it's on the phone you can't tell the difference. The repair isn't for those afraid of tools and tiny parts but if you're good with small screwdrivers and tweezers this will seve you a *lot* of money versus taking it to a Pro. And if you tell your friends you did it pretty soon you'll be "the iPhone repair guy" which is a great way to earn drinks, IOUs and/or credits with coworkers. Fixing your boss' boss' phone is a great way to earn serious bonus points around the office.Tips:- You'll need a heat source like a hair dryer, a heat gun or a reusable heat bag .- Make sure to have an IR thermometer, like this one for under $10 , so you don't bake the LCD and other electronics.- You'll need to transfer the clear plastic front-camera stabilizer from the old screen.- A B00792JJK4 thin, flexible metal separator tool is much more useful than the plastic ones that come with the kit and will make this job significantly easier.- The best thing you can do to make this a successful repair is make a map out of a piece of corrugated cardboard: As each component and screw comes out draw a sketch of the part on the cardboard roughly where it goes on the device, number it and poke holes in the cardboard to hold the screws where they belong on the sketch. (The pentalobe screwdriver is perfect for making those tiny holes). That way you'll know where the parts go and in what order, not to mention you won't risk losing screws to a breeze or curious child.

Just be carefull
I believe this is a fine product. I have used this vender four times and the screens have performed perfectly in all instances.if you install the screen and find that there are vertical whitish strips of dead pixies in the digitizer It is most likely you have broken it yourself.the connector for the digitizer is VERY fragile if you force it even a tiny bit beyond 90 degrees you WILL damage it. just be very careful and it should all work out well.
