Speed and quality of printing
The Epson Eco Tank ET-3850 printer is a formidable workhorse. I have had it for several years now and it has never let me down. Ease of set-up, great quality and speed of printing are a big plus. Colors come out as they should. After more than two years, I have yet to add more ink and that's a major plus. Highly recommend this product.

Great quality
I homeschool, run 2 ministries, work from home, and am in school full-time myself. Our printer gets a workout. We have had this for about 2 months and I print a LOT every day. It has barely made a dent in the ink that came with the printer. 50000% worth the price. Great print quality. Scans/copies. Double sided printing is awesome. Wi-fi printing. Super easy set up.

Impossible to set up; customer support useless
My experience truly defies belief. First, I should say that although I am by no means a technical wizard, I generally have little difficulty in setting up computers and other electronic products. I have spent much of today trying to set up my new EPSON-3850 "all-in-one" printer without success. The instructions are completely inadequate. At the outset, EPSON tries to induce the customer to download a so-called "smart panel app," which it claims will guide the user through the set-up process. What this app in fact does is try to sell the user various subscriptions costing up to $4 per month. The app contains no information on setting up the printer beyond what is in the printed instructions.Very early in the process, the instructions refer the user to directions on the tiny LCD screen, which is difficult to read. The "smart panel app" is simply a deceptive effort to sell additional expensive services to the consumer. One of the first instructions is to "open the scanner unit." I opened the first panel leading to the glass screen on which copies of documents are made. I tried to open that panel to get to what I assumed was the "scanner unit," but was unable to do so. After spending an undue amount of time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I called Epson support. {The phone number is not easy to find.)My call was answered quite quickly, but that was of little use since the person I spoke to could not speak understandable English. That is no exaggeration; his accent was so heavy that I couldn't understand almost anything he said. I asked to me transferred to another person, but that did not produce an understandable response. Since it was clear I was getting nowhere, I hung up and called again. The second person to whom I spoke had a slightly better command of English, but only slightly. I told her what my problem was, but I was able to understand almost nothing she said after that. Again, I want to emphasize that I am not Henry Higgins looking for someone who speaks like a princess. I have no objection to foreign accents; indeed, my parents were immigrants and spoke with a German accent. But this was not a matter of an accent, but basic comprehensibility.Though I am generally reluctant to be so blunt,I told the woman to whom I spoke that I needed to speak to someone who spoke English. I was put on hold, and after a longish wait a gentleman who could speak the language came on the line.It didn't take him long to solve my problem. Both panels leading to the scanner have to be lifted at the same time. A line or two to this effect in the instructions could have saved me hours of frustration and wasted time.I filled the ink bins without difficulty, but soon faced the problem of connecting the printer to my computer. Following the steps to do this by Wi-Fi, I was soon asked for the password for my network. I would have been glad to provide it, but no keyboard appeared and there were no instructions as to how one was supposed to enter the password. I decided to connect the printer to my computer via a USB cable. But there were no instructions as to where on the printer the cable was to be connected and, if a port exists, I couldn't find it. I reluctantly concluded at about 6:30pm that I would have to call Epson support again, a call that I thought was timely since help was said to be available through 7 or 8 pm California time, and I'm in New York. But I got a recording saying that Epson Support was closed, noting that its hours of operation had been shortened. I think one can imagine how propitiated I was by Epson's recorded apologies for the "inconvenience."I can only conclude that, having made a sale, Epson is totally indifferent to whether or not people can actually use the machinery they have purchased at no small expense. My recommendation is not to buy.

Good little all in one.
Printer crapped out so this day and age you don’t repair them you replace. Read a bunch of reviews and this one was rated high. This printer has tanks that you fill instead of changing cartridges and boy they go a long way without refilling, matter of fact we have owned this for months and still have not had to fill with more ink. Highly recommend.

Getting tanked with my printer!
Well-made ( a little "plastic-y") and fairly well-designed mechanically. Love the Eco-Tank system. Couldn't be easier. Cost is high, but so's the quality and ease of use. It's an Epson. So, I'll expect years of good use. Not a speed demon, but adequate for most home office needs. Works with my HP Laptop on Ubuntu Mate Linux version 24.10 USB, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. Epson App on my Samsung A35 phone works flawlessly, and provides simple and quick setup for MANY different devices.
