ORDRO WiFi Camcorder 1080P Full HD Digital Video Camera with External Microphone (HDV-Z20)

Low price combine with several major flaws and a couple of handy features. On the plus side, the hand-held remote and rotating monitor screen allow you to take your own selfie interview videos and photographs. I have not used the WiFi feature but can imagine using this camera as a security monitor. Today a name brand camcorder without these problems will cost about $750 and easily can run $1,250. So this ORDRO camcorder can work for you if you need low price and are willing to limit your subject to medium distance.Numerous problems require that you inspect and test every feature before your return period runs out. I had two returns before finally accepting the third camcorder. Here is the list of problems I have discovered so far:1. The bottom tripod threads are soft plastic. These threads will strip if you just screw in your tripod base because the tripod screw is typically short. Too much stress on just a few turns of the female threads on the camcorder base. I recommend that you buy a hot shoe base and leave it in. Use the corresponding tripod hot shoe base and don't depend on the threaded camcorder tripod female base. I used these hot shoe bases to preserve the threads. The boom microphone which comes bundled with the camcorder has very poor sensitivity. On an interview at only 4 feet distance, the voice picked up was too soft to hear on the video recording. This problem was solved with Amazon's "TAKSTAR SGC-598 Interview Microphone for Nikon/Canon Camera/DV Camcorder" for only $23.75.  TAKSTAR SGC-598 Interview Microphone for Nikon/Canon Camera/DV Camcorder 3. Threads on the camcorder lens were damaged. Those threads are needed to receive the optional wide angle lens.4. The camcorder is fixed focus. Subjects which are up close or distant will not come into focus. Use of the optional macro lens or wide angle lens does not fix the close up focus problem.5. Colors are not captured true to life. Possibly the vivid color option in settings will improve this issue.6. Any time you make a connection to a Windows PC, then the camera will shut off. You must re-start the camera.7. The camera will not remember most of your menu choices between uses.8. The included soft carry case is too small to also carry a boom microphone or any accessories. You will need to buy a larger carry case.You will need patience, good luck, and plenty of testing to make this camcorder work for you.

This is a great camera, it has amazing video quality, the internal mic is ok but the shotgun mic is better. The stabilization is good. It comes with 2 batteries for the camera, 2 for the microphone, and one for the remote. Everything about this is good except for one thing: i put the footage on my computer and watched it and there was a time stamp in the bottom right hand corner. I tried getting rid of it in the settings but i couldn't figure out how. Then i looked it up and it said i cant do anything to get rid of it. There still might be a way to get rid of it that i don't know about but if i weren't for that the camera would be perfect.

Arrived quickly but the directions leave a lot to be desired!!!! The product is really good and takes good pics and videos. I still can't connect it to my wifi the password doesn't work, I am disappointed about that, I connect my phone to it and entered the password (thanks for putting it on the screen) several times but still no connection.

Basically the camera does not focus. There is no manual focus and the autofocus barely works if at all. There is no setting for adjusting focus. The color resolution appears to be poor as well. If the lens is good it's impossible to tell because the camera has one depth of field focus and it's soft, not crisp at all. Do not waste your time. I'm sending it back.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This is a great little camera with a shotgun microphone. I created a video made with some of the internal options that the camera incorporates. Thus I had to use one of my older 32G card and transfer the data on it to the new 64G card I bought with the camera.Another Item I noticed is that when you remove the SD card to mount it on my computer and then you reinsert it into the camera to shoot some more video it will overwrite the first file that you shot earlier in the day. For instance file 20170422_0001.MOV was overwritten by removing the sd card and reinserting it. In other words do not remove the SD card for that will reset the file numbering sequence.I just consider this as a lesson learned and does not diminish too much from the camera.The shotgun microphone works great. I normally set it on the 10Db setting.

Even though it has a hot shoe, this camera is not what I expected. I don't blame the product but myself for wanting something more that what it is.

Great sound, really good video... only draw back is the solftware only records in .MOV, which are not Facebook-friendly. I have to use video converting software to put it in an acceptable format. That said, video is great and the sound is clear, with minimial background noise.

The cAmerican quality seems good enough and the shotgun mic is crisp. However the date and time stamp will no go away. I intended to shoot short films with this. If I cannot remove the date and time stamp I will have to return the camera
