Tested with my Samsung 3 ... so far, I'm impressed.Maybe not the 8 times claimed, but on my test runs, I did charge my phone 5 times before it hit one bar, I expect it would have charged it at least once more. I've used it a few times on weekend camping trips with success. I am leaving shortly for an 8 day camping trip... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will do the trick.The only "issue" I've found with it is that it sometimes turns itself off before it's fully charged. Turn it back on and it completes the charge.I have tested 2 other chargers, one battery charger (single charges only, despite their claims) and one solar charger (useless). Although the most expensive, this one is by far is the best one I've used.B.

Works as described and met my expectations. Charges all of my devices much faster when the devices are in Airplane mode. I was able to charge my iPhone 6 Plus from 0 to 100% 5 times, as well as my iPad Air before recharging the battery pack. I think I would have received more charges had I started using it from a fresh charge. I charged two of my other phones simultaneously, Fire Phone & Nexus 5 2nd gen. It took a bit more time than it charging a single device, but again it worked as expected. If you are looking for a reliable backup system for charging your devices I recommend this hands down.*** UPDATE *** I am adding an additional comment to let you know that since first reviewing this product in November I am changing the star rating from 4 stars to 5! This product has proven itself time and time again and I find myself using EVERYONE, even at home when I have plenty of access to charing it from internal USB charger outlets. Although I must say, my USB outlets charge almost as fast, but certainly faster than a standard wall outlet. Anyway, I have since purchased chargers for my 2 oldest sons, and they two are extremely fond of this device, especially since they are often traveling. I hope you find my update helpful FEB 16-2015

My daughter requires both an iPad and cell phone for school. She has been using the iBattz for over 3 years and it has been indispensable for making sure she never runs out of power during her very long day. She can charge iPad at least 3 times to full battery status and her Droid smart phone over 6 times before she needs to recharge the battery backup. The iBattz holds its charge for months without loosing it's ability to power other electronics. I liked it so much that i just purchased another one for my son who will now be needing his iPad for school this year. Highly recommend this product. Can safely charge all types of brands of electronics.

I bought it as a gift, but tested it first since some of the reviews said it would stop charging your devices randomly or that the battery itself didn't keep a full charge. I had no problems with it. I tested how many times I could charge my iPhone 5 with it and found that I could charge it 8 times with my phone on airplane mode. I'd usually charge it once my phone was down to 5-8% battery life. It also charged my iPad Air very well. I am considering buying one for myself now. It's a great gift for college students who find themselves on campus all day. Electrical outlets aren't always readily available and if they are, the standard 3ft phone and tablet cords make it hard to charge your device and use it at the same time.

this really does seem to charge your phone about 5 times. its good for me when i am camping, as i can with sparing phone use get by for a week with no electricity with this charger. I imagine soon or maybe even now they can make them smaller to do the same thing, but this one works pretty well. no complaints so far.

Other then bring a touch heavy this product is awesome. My wife has an iPhone 5 / Ipad 2 Mini and I have an IPhone 6 Plus and we use this all the time to charge all 3 products. I am able to get about 6 full charges before having to recharge - also recharge using my USB port on the computer is about 4 hours which is not bad.

I love this thing. I've had it for about 6 months and still holds a great charge. It's perfect for those long flights and to just have in the car whenever you're heading on a trip or even daily use! Cant tell you how many times this guy came in handy!

My wife and son find ways to waste their battery everyday. This battery is great and easy enough that they can use without much teaching! They love being able to keep phone charged now! If only I can get them to remember the cord!!
