It is the standard pipe for most bathrooms with a shower head. **Q: Can this be installed without the Water Flow Restrictor?** A: Yes and the water flow restrictor is actually in a separate little zip locked bag so it is an optional install (not the default). Super easy to hand tighten this in the install. I used zero tools, except a crescent wrench and some WD40 to remove the existing shower head. **Q: does this unit have a pause function so you can stop the water, soap up, and go back and rinse off?** A: The pause function is in the last position of the function knob. Turn it to the last position to the right and this will be the pause function. **Q: How do I replace a shower head pipe?** A: Hello, To replace a shower head pipe just remove the old pipe, use a wrench to rotate the pipe counterclockwise. Clean the connection and replace the Teflon tape. Turn the new shower head pipe clockwise on the taped fitting and hand-tighten it. After the shower head with hose is installed, check for leaks. Worrisome, but they include a card offering sign-up for a lifetime warranty. Further, almost every showerhead is largely plastic, so maybe no big deal.But the warranty is actually only for 3 years. (gulp) Is that my life expectancy? More on the warranty registration later.The showerhead comes with several pieces that most companies would not provide. These include a roll of Teflon tape to seal connections, several extra connection gaskets and filter screens, and two flow reducers. This is a generosity that was unexpected.Installation instructions are very helpful and will give you confidence that you're installing it right.The head has a lever that provides you with selection of a variety of spray patterns. The spray is excellent, far better than most.So overall I am very pleased with the product, especially at the very reasonable price.But back to plastic and the warranty. I thought, “Gee, maybe no big deal about the plastic. After all, I guess they must be confident in the quality if they offer a lifetime warranty.” They seem like nice people, and probably they are confident, but the warranty is for only 3 years, and the registration process just plain sucks. I thought of deleting a star or two just because of it, but decided that would be unfair, since the product itself is superior.Regarding the warranty registration process.1) You must use Facebook Messenger to register the warranty. Who wants more of that human imposter’s software on their phone?2) To complete the process, you MUST AGREE to receive messages, including promotional messages, in the future.Sure, you can delete Messenger once you’re done. But Zuckerberg is forever once he sinks his claws into your software. Despite immediately unsigning from Messenger once I'd registered the warranty, I still get emails telling me that messages are piling up.
