sounds like a hassle but it's not
I received this and you could tell from the very start this was well made. I have another splitter but it is plastic (CSRET is metal) and I have a 4K TV and a regular 1080p TV. First you need cables, if you do not get 2.0 cables you will not get the right signal to your 4K TV. You need short 3' 2.0 cable sold here a Amazon to go to splitter box, then you need 2.0 cable (sold here at Amazon-different lengths) to go from splitter to 4K TV. You can use 1.4 or 1.3 or whatever going to regular 1080p TV.I have 4K TV in living Room and 1080p TV in bedroom. It will not send correct signal to both TV's if both are plugged in, it will send lowest resolutionto both, so one cable has to be unplugged if you want true 4K going to 4K TV. Example at night before I retire to bedroom where 1080p TV is I plug that cable in, it does not matter if cable from 4K TV is plugged in or not. To shorten this up, if you want True 4K image (Mine is from PC) on your 4K TV you must unplug 1080p cable, press power button on splitter box OFF then back ON, sounds like a hassle but it's not, when you see picture it's great. Some people say 4K is overrated, I do not believe that to be the case, the difference to me is as great as going from SD to HD, yes that big. Again none of this will work right unless you get 2.0 cables, 1 to splitter, 1 to 4K TV.

DO NOT BUY FOR PS4 PRO 4K60Hz! This splitter WILL NOT WORK!
This product WILL NOT WORK with the PS4 Pro at 4K60Hz only at 1080p. I purchased this splitter specifically for it's "ability" to split a 4K60Hz signal, unfortunately once I opened the box the instructions said it can only accept a 4K60Hz YUV420 12bit signal. The Playstation 4 Pro is capable of broadcasting a 4K60Hz YUV420 12bit signal by changing the resolution to 2160p, RGB Range to Limited and Deep Color Output to Automatic, However, this splitter DOES NOT accept this signal. I have tried every signal combination and hdcp 1.4/2.2 setting including everything set to Automatic and the only signal that works from my PS4 Pro is a 1080p signal. If you are looking to use your PS4 Pro at 4K60Hz this splitter WILL NOT WORK. If you are looking to use this splitter for 1080p60 get the Aocome 4K30Hz HDMI 1.4 splitter (it's only $20 at most). I have the Aocome splitter and it has worked absolutely flawlessly for recording with my Elgato HD60 Pro at 1080p60Hz with no input lag. I purchased this CSRET splitter to "upgrade" my Aocome splitter but the CSRET is a glorified paperweight at anything but 1080p or 4K30Hz which my Aocome already supported. I give this HDMI splitter 1 star due to the fact that it does not do what it is advertised to do (split an HDMI 2.0 4K60Hz signal).

Does the job !
Works exactly as expected. Their support is amazing as well. I already got their other splitters but this one is required for HDMI 2.0 in 4K.

Works, but can't pass through a signal to just one port even without power
It did the trick, but my complaint about it was that you have to have it plugged into power and powered on for any use. I had hoped the power would just be needed if I wanted to have it extend to the second HDMI output (for my projector) and that unpowered it would simply pass the signal through to the default port 1.But it won't do that, you have to have it powered all the time. I will keep looking for something that only needs to be powered or switched when I actually need to use the second HDMI output.

Expensive but well-built and worth every penny!
It is very easy to confuse this HDMI splitter from a HDMI switch. This splitter takes 1 signal (cable box) and projects it to two different displays (2 TV in different rooms). Essentially what I see in the living room would be the same as what I see in the kitchen.Pros:* Backward compatible* Supports a wide range of newer tv* Easy to installCons:* ExpensivePackage Includes:* CSRET HDMI 2.0 Splitter* AC Power Adapter* User ManualThis arrived in a white box with the words HDMI splittter 4k UltraHD printed on the top. I did wonder why the box was big since I was expecting the splitter to be a small square. So after opening the top I thought they protected the splitter pretty well. I couldn't remove the splitter from its foam protection without applying a little force. Once I lifted it out of its protective cave, I did notice the splitter had a bit of a heft to it. From the product pictures I knew it was square but I had thought it would be mostly plastic making it light. This is not the case. I'm no expert on materials but it was obviously they used metal and not plastic. First impression very well built and looks like they built it to last. There were instructions to the splitter but it really does not take too much to figure out how to get this setup. I connected HDMI from the cable box to the splitter. Than pulled one hdmi from splitter to home office TV and another to the monitor on my desk. The reason being the tv in the home office faced away from the desk so when I am working on projects I can't watch tv at the same time. So after hooking up the cables, I just plugged in the ac adapter. I must admit I'm not sure why I need the ac adapter. I have an HDMI switch and it didn't require adapter so wasn't really sure why a HDMI splitter would need one.So immediately after I plugged in the adapter and turned the splitter on, I had the tv on first and it was showing the cable channel perfectly. I didn't notice any weird distortion of signal on the tv. I left that on and went to my desk and turned on the monitor there. It was showing exactly the same image as the TV. The sound from both were exactly in sync. So HDMI splitter is working 100% as needed.Overall, I'm happy with this HDMI splitter. I did think this was very expensive but considering this is HDMI 2.0 plus supports wide range of newer tv, this was worth the price. A lot of the HDMI splitter out there is around half the cost of this one but is either not compliant with the latest HDMI 2.0 or doesn't support newer tv. But I have to mention that CSRET should include at least 1 HDMI cable. It just seems right considering cost of the splitter.
